  • but hannaminx said that otaku is a geek or big fan of anime or manga.

  • @6thisis . Its an extensive fan of something to the point where they have no social life.

  • @kanadajin3 You can say the same thing about geeks. Lately it become cool to be a geek, but that is not the original meaning. It used to be the same insult as otaku.

  • @6thisis . Yes. But In Japan, its not cool to be an otaku period., the only people who think its cool, are westerners who mistranslated it sevirely.

  • matanee :)

  • good good good !!!thank you ♪

  • I tried to tell my VERY fanatic anime fangirl friend this...she simply said I was angry that she knew more than I did about anime. I've only watched five anime and I don't just watch anime for the sake of watching anime. I simply seek knowledge. I hate getting lumped into a group that clearly meets the requirements of this insult just because I have interest in anime. Your video is very informative :)

  • NUMBER FIVE! AT 2:26, your voice and your wide open eyes gave me the creeps! lol creepy girl.

  • i learned i'm NOT an otaku (:

  • 実感が伴っていて、非常によく理解されているので驚きました。…たしかに、オタク=geekではないですね。ただし、使い方によってはgeekの意味を含むことがあります。「オタク」は、日本では必ずしも良い意味で言われるわけではないので、口にする時は慎重に。

  • The english name for みかん is satsuma...named after the Japanese region they were first exported from. Nashi really is Asian pear in English...also known as apple pear. True not the same as our normal pear but still. All the rest are correct.

  • @forgottenmemories21 . Not quite. Satsuma is a morph of mikan, but its not a mikan. I mentioned nashi because everything thinks it means pear (as in western style pears) but it refers to what people call Asian pear instead.

  • Thank god !For a moment i thought i was not an otaku :)

  • Your videos are really down to earth, thanks!

  • Where I live (not an English speaking country), みかん is called 'mandarin'. I didn't know it was incorrect to call it that way in English. I will call it 'mikan' from now on. Nobody will understand it but しょうがない。

  • YOU JUST LOOK SOOOOOOOOO CUTE AND SWEET
