  • I would actually rather watch this in feature-length form than watch another Lucas movie.

  • it wasn't Ok'd cause people didn't realize it isn't supposed to be good.

    wink wink nudge nudge

  • Pure. Fucking. Awesome.

  • I KNOW EVERYTHING!!!!!

"Wow, your grandmother must be really rich...

    Heat Vision is awesome.

  • Jack Black should continue this ITS FREAKIN FUNNY!

  • you were the bad guy in timecop........

  • best show evet

  • "HE pushed me over"...lol.....I never knew this exsisted...funny shit...did you see that stripper...man she got skills on the pole...wicked..what was the name of that bar

  • Better than the new Knight Rider - but that's not saying much.

  • if fate makes you a motorcycle, you become a motorcycle.

  • I almost shit when Paragon just walks around Heat Vision and pushes him over.

  • jack black said to watch this

  • why the cock was this series not made!

  • its not like that. its just a short film

  • says who?... in the info (and other places) it says that this was a pilot that wasn't picked up by Fox.

anyway its ace!... there should be more of it!... its like the bastard child of Garth Marenghi's Dark Place and Knight Rider.

  • itz a pilot

  • LMFAO Ben Stiller as the strip club DJ! They have a relatively in-depth mini-article about this show in the August 2008 edition of GQ Magazine.

  • oh the things you can find on youtube

  • i love heat vision...

  • Ron Silver, biitcchhh!!! Before he got lame. OMG, this is so classic.

  • whats the name of the song that goes tututu tututu, that plays in the diner radio???

  • semi charmed life by third eye blind

  • thanx!

  • whats the name of the song that play in the begging? something with moveout in it?

  • more... i need a movie of this

  • what i wouldn't do to screw christine taylor.... I would do things to her that are illegal in the state of kentucky!

  • Man! I wish they made a movie out of this... a sequel maybe?

  • I KNOW EVERYTHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING

  • Seriously this is so hilarious I know it was made years ago, but they should pitch it to adult swim because I'm sure the guys at Williams Street would absolutely love it.

  • Knowledge is power....FOR REAL!

  • This is honestly the best thing I have ever seen, and I've seen a chick naked.

  • imma get crazy on him hard style LOL

  • I was about to turn this crapola off til I heard the phrase "monkey-slut" lmao.

  • very beautiful blonde.

  • Now married to Ben Stiller.

  • this was made as a joke

  • Thanx GQ ! I really enjoyed this one. Great Direction by Ben Stiller! And Jack Black was awesome in this.

    The power of you tube!!

  • This is pretty good.

  • some laugh what did they do this in aid of

    Solar Energy!!!!!!

Your brain is like cookie dough - quality

  • Its like Knight Rider! OMG!! this is funny...

  • this rocks!

  • Thanks GQ (didn't know that many people here could read !) This is more "Liquid TV" than "Adult Swim". This RULEZ !!!!!

  • A career low for Jack Black is like a career low for Adolph Hitler.

  • yeah, comedians and dictators are easily comparable. the mass torture and genocide of six million jews is just as bad as jack black's comedic performance in this.

oh wait! that's complete and utter bullshit!

this is as awesome as you are stupid.

  • ...which in turn is like a career low for your sense of humor.

  • 30 minutes of crap for 4-5 really good laughs.

  • This seems tailor made for Adult Swim.

  • Yeah, i read the recommendation in GQ, not as funny as they said it was. I agree with akoutisis, one of Jack Black's career lows. Not to forget Ben Stiller directing and Owen Wilson with the voiceover. I just think they all lack a team chemistry.

  • Hate to disagree with most, hate to be the grumpy one, but not Frat Pack's / Jack Black's brightest moment. And I say this as a fan - I even laughed to tears with "Cable Guy"!. Not exactly hilarious, not even after a fat Pineapple Express joint :-) GQ hype...

  • 1. This is so awesome.

    2. Vincent Schiavelli, RIP.

    3. If it's a pilot, why is it labelled "Episode 14"?

    4. YOU WORTHLESS MONKEY WHORE. ALL MONKEY SLUTS SHALL BE ABSORBED.

  • Awesome. I can't believe this is as awesome as it is.

  • You can't run forever Jack.

    Not from death.

    Not from your shadow.

    Not from Ron Silver.

  • Fox really dropped the ball on this one. I would have loved to have seen this every week.

  • Thanks GQ for letting me in on this amazing show!!!

  • the radio at the beginning sounds just like the radio/cdplayer from transformers

  • Soooo kick ass!

  • I heard about this from GQ

  • I love how she isnt even surprised that his motorcycle can talk.

  • i cannot believe this is real

  • this show was ok, but i can see why it wasnt picked up

  • so fucking cool cant beleive ive never heard of this thank you!!!

  • love it

  • Oh my.. i love this.

"IS that blood?" "Blood of tomatoes" awesome

  • This should get picked up, it's like America's Darkplace.

  • Totally agree. Right from the opening sequence, it reminded me of Darkplace. It should've been picked up.

  • Ron Silver is after him. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA etc

  • i love it!

  • ....w.o.w

  • THE APE WOMAN NEEDS A LABEL!

    I really liked this.

  • I think this would have definitely been on par with Darkplace's quality if Fox had let it run for a nice little six episode set, because this one episode, alone, is amazing. Definitely worth a DVD release.

  • You want me to label this?

They should do this as a feature film. This was that funny.

  • AHAHA Ben Stiller's "cameo".

  • Don't say bad things about Tom Jones, he's one of the greatest singers.

  • Why did the alien go to Buried Pleasure?

  • This is gotta be taking the piss. This isnt serious is it? LMAO

  • Ben Stiller was a huge inspiration to the creators of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Then they traveled back in time and got things cookin. Shine on, you edge cutter.

  • No, no, no, I'm sure it's a coincid-- wait. Ben Stiller is good friends with Owen Wilson, who is good friends with Steve Coogan, who was producer of "Mighty Boosh", whose stars appeared on... "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace". Ahhhh!!!!

  • any body notice how much jack looks like garth?

  • I hate Fox.

I love Heat Vision and Jack.

  • Whats the name of the song which starts at about 1:12?

  • hahaha tom jones is fucking hilarious

  • pure awesomeness

  • hey can anyone tell me the name of the techno track that kicks in at 11:55 when the sunlight hits and jack breaks free from the cell

  • The name of the song is Keep hope alive by Crystal Method.

  • I know EVERYTHING!!

This is awesome. Wish they'd made the whole series, I'd love to see more of this.

  • This is pwn.

  • lol owen wilson getting gas, oh yeah, oh thats good!

  • awesome!!!

  • I need specs on HV!?!?!?!?!?!

  • kruder and dorfmeister..i was suprised to hear that on here ;)

  • beautiful!!!

  • shame my Australian bowels are leaking. Dont Touch Me!

  • pepsickle, i am an american and this show did not get picked up for good reason. Garth Maranghis is so much better than this. i see what they are trying to do here but they forgot to make it funny. shame, they had funny actors at their disposal.

  • some of the comments here just make me want to eat my own face....America pretty much invented the spoof so why do so many of you idiots not get this???? and for anyone who liked it check out 'Garth Meranghis Dark place'

  • Haha this was great :D

  • They need to bring this show back, it is awesome.

  • that was hilarious, i want to see a second one hahaha

  • This IS a real pilot for a comedy show that was pitched to Fox. The series was never greenlit though.

  • That show ruled. There needs to be more.

  • ben stiller and jb...its not for real haha

  • I like Ben Stiller. I like Jack Black. I Like Owen Wilson. This was funny as hell but I hope it wasn't for real.

  • Is this serious, cause if it is i'll be on the floor crying right now!

    LMAO

  • like ten years later, Jack would come back to kill the earth, then Heat vision will be all grown up, and oswald would be dead.

  • that was everything i loved about the 80s rolled up into 30 minutes of pure awesome

  • That was way too inside for mass audiences. The stilted acting, bad lighting by design, plot point exposition. As an example; the coverage of jack in his cell had a bar in the middle of his face in every shot, on purpose. Who would get all that stuff? Very funny/cheesy dialog parodies shows that young people have never seen. Make it as a movie

  • tv isn't good enough for this much talent, stupid suits can't tell crap from gold. JB and Stiller are movie stars, fuck fox, fuk primetime. they should make a point of ruining these suits careers and humiliating them, deserving for those who blew this oportunity to be more than mediocre.

  • how many episode did they do of heatvision

  • This is it. The networks were afraid of it. It's way out of formula.

  • it would make a good internet series....yes?

  • i can't see when you talk...

  • "You worthless monkey whore" :P

  • lo WTF is tis for MTV?

  • At 28:00 when he started the motorbike...

he changed the bike to first gear whitout touching the clutch...im dont know much about motorbikes but i still know thats not possible

  • lets break down an aspect of a show that is absolutely rediculous in the first place

  • You can't shift a talking bike into first gear without touching the clutch!

  • If the gearbox is broke in right you can shift up and down without the clutch. Shifting down is harder, you have to thottle up a bit while you're shifting. The clutch is for power slides and effortless shifing.

  • Well thanks for that! Now i know a bit more about motorbikes

  • "you want me to label this?" good stuff!

  • God that was brilliant. Shame they didn't take this up.

  • HAHAHAHAHA

    That was amazing

Is that girl cop that girl that was in Zoolander?

  • i love the kung foo moves in the back. haha

  • I feel like this takes place in the Twin Peaks universe.

  • Im glad that this was completely aborted, seeing as how the Frat Pack influence didn't get heavy until 2002 maybe. Now because it was passed up it was given a cult status, and now is being made into a feature film. when it's possible had this air it could have ruined the chance for a revital of this show...i actually thougth the show was pretty well done...it's kinda like the family guy thing...it didn't take off, chances are they would have given it a shitty timeslot like 10:30 on thurs.

  • I know, I cant believe people are taking this so seriously, it's hilarious. They can relax, the idiots at Fox kept it off television.

  • OMG! Same diner bitch as in "Natural Born Killers", and possibly the same diner set!

  • this show is amazing.

  • If Tarantino and Rodriguez can pull off Grindhouse, this should definately become a feature movie

  • People need to learn that this was suppost to be campy. Dudes, this is Rob Schrab and Dan harman, and they know campy. Think I'm lying? Go watch Twiggers holiday, or Robot bastard.

People need to stop expecting things of 7th hell, one stiff dick, or gossip bitch caliber. Campy is good, if done right. ~.^

  • Besides, people who are saying it's "too over the edge" are idiots. It wasn't THAT crazy.

  • that is truly awsome, 5 stars.

  • ok......................

  • Wow! That show had everything! Marsha, Jack, strippers and Tom Jones.

  • damn that was classic

  • WOW That was Funky. I see camp hasn't gone out of style.

  • way better than star wars

  • MY GOD THAT WAS EPIC!

  • That was just too damn awesome

  • hahaha awesome, better than Envy anway

  • how th hell did u manage a 30 minute clip??!

  • I honestly think this would have been good airing on Fox when X-Files was in its prime/post-shark-jump era.

  • The most random cult show ever...and it was the funniest show I've ever seen!

  • oh my god. that was the most awesomely bad thing i've ever seen. so great

  • haha, this is hilarious

  • You're the reason shows like this are never aired, like a mgajillion of you, possibly american, reasons like you.

  • check the ratings sucker

  • God I wish this show was on TV right now

  • amazing! 5* i loved it. it was so funny.

  • that was pretty awesome

  • Personally, I would prefer the revival of this show over most of the stuff these three have done since then.

  • if all sherrif's were that hot I would commit a lot more crime

  • Lol... I want more! xD Can I watch more episodes somewhere? Or it is only this one? Because it was really, really grate :D

Yeah... but... I really don't know why... But when I heard Jack speaking "I know everything" I've started laughing so hard, that I almost fall down from my chair xD Yeah... xD

  • that is truly awsome, 5 stars.

  • amazing my pop culture teacher told me about this so i looked it up and it was straight up amazing

  • that was funking awesome!

  • Christine Taylor is the most overlooked comedic actress of the last 20 years. That she is not a massive megastar is a gross injustice.

  • Freaking amazing! Why didn't they make more?

  • sweet! they even played metallica's King nothing during the fight scene. lol

  • this was a great pilot. I'm really pissed off that it got canceled, because it would make a really good tv show. Jack Black and Owen Wilson are the perfect pair

  • this was a real TV show? I thought it was one of thoese homage spoofs to old 80's shows like knight rider and street hawk.

  • You're both right.

  • this show is alitle messed up but its the kind of show that allways leaves you wanting more

  • "All monkey-sluts shall be absorbed..."

"You can't run forever, Jack. Not from Death. Not from your past. Not from Ron Silver."

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Ron Silver as himself lol!

  • "You can't run forever, Jack. Not from Death. Not from your past. Not from Ron Silver."

  • Well. Now I understand why Ben married Christine.
