Love that guitar...nice sound! and as you say it's not a "Copy" ...it really is an Ibanez! You bought it new for $240... that's really cheap! They're around £330 in the UK... whic is more than $500! Nice one...
Cool, I own a AFS75T too silver sparkle, replaced the tremolo with a trapeze tailpiece keeped the roller bridge still. Stays in tune longer now, I seldom used the whammy anyhow. Excellent song choice, sounded great!
@mrgoodvibrations Dude... I did the same thing. Although I also replaced the metal bridge with a much jazzier sounding rosewood one (I would have gone Ebony, but the fretboard is so brown.)
I yanked out the pups, wiring harness and pots and replaced them all too... Stew-Mac Golden Age for the pups. Oh... and I put locking self-trimming tuners on it (they were in the clearance bin and Guitar Center for $30!) The thing now stays in tune almost too well... I like the ritual of tuning up.
How about asking for tabs for every chord melody someone posts, look at the lead sheet in the real book. Analyze the changes and the melody notes, and do it yourself!! No respectable jazz player reads tabs anyways
love the tone...this is one of my favorite songs of all time. It was also 1 or 2 songs I played for my music school audition..other was a classical version of Yesterday by the Beatles.
For the price, it is a bargain. I bought it for $240 @ guitarcenter 1 year ago. I am not sure that it does really beat the es335 but it is close. and the quality is flawless. What I like with Ibanez is that it is not a cheap brand for guitar such as Gibson (epiphone) or Fender ( squier) or takamine ( Jasmine). Even if built in china, it is an ibanez....
I really enjoyed your piece. I have been agonising for a year as to whether to buy and what to buy as my first electric. You have now confirmed the AFS75T. What amp do you use?
I had an Epiphone Dot, and it stunk to high heaven. The build quality was mediocre, the natural finish was far uglier than the catalog showed, and the pickup switch cut out the first week I had it. I sent it back and got another one and the pickup switch died again. I sent it back and got my money back, thank BOB. Get ANYTHING but an Epiphone. (Well, anything but a Jay Turser. I tried one of those and it stunk WORSE. Sawdust in the soundholes.)
It is a standard with arrangement by a french jazzman Rene Duchaussoir.I found in a french music book . I sometimes play freely by changing tempo and rythm but nothing clever

Lovely tone and touch, nice bluesy ending! Would love to hear what you think of the rendition I did w/ the "Big Bang" big-band.

Wow your great at guitar.
Maybe one day if im lucky ill be nearly as good as you, im just starting

You don't need to be lucky, just you need to spend time with your instrument man. A teacher is handy and allows for less frustration, though.

I have an Epiphone Elitist Casino. It's not a Gibson knockoff, and it was $1400. So don't say all Epi's are shit.

What string gauge did you use in this vid?

I have this same guitar. i reckon its just as good as the Gibson 335 i have also. Sounds mean through all VOX amps. But even better through an AC30
