The music is by Alexandre Desplat and the song is Gnossienne No. 1 from the movie sound track of the Painted Veil.

the music isn't by alexander desplat but by Satie who died in 1925 in paris. you should check your references. alexandre desplats is also a french compositor, but a contemporary one who certainly performed the Satie's gnossienne no.1 for the movie "the painted veil".

yeah they put that it was alexandre. i'm not sure but i think he got a reward for his performing satie's gnossienne no 1, but i think he also created soundtracks for the movie the painted veil, but which songs, i can't tell^^ i also like the pics you put in your vid.

I`d appreciate the movie going slower - more time on screen, less movement, gentle fading outs so that its easy on the eye.
