It seems the doctor was unaware of the other side of the toe nail, and after he pulled that side out, he did not use the curette like he did on the other side. I think he was a little taken aback and wonder why he didnt see it.
i had my toe nail on my big toe on my left foot removed, and like 2 weeks after i was playing football and got the damn thing stepped on.... had to get stitches in it because the guys cleat had ground into my skin and made it bleed really bad
yea ive gone now three times and he took mine out but he just numbed it he never put those sticks in..if i get one again does anyone recommend me gettin those sticks put in my foot to prevent it?
i just went to dr mark senft today to see about this procedure being done to my 3 ingrown toenails and he told he he had it done to his own foot and he said that he hasnt had any problems for 18 years so im oretty sure u wont need those sticks
Im getting this done on Monday, my toe is like huge at the moment and full of puss so they wont do it until the antibiotics clear up some of the infectiion.
I will be so glad to get that chunk of nail out of there im actually looking forward to it.
sure i guess it does hurt alot, but i had them numb me like 3 times before it even worked. and also it feels really weird when they stick those sticks in...
ya man i was strugglign with my ingrown toenail for all 15 years of my life and then i found out that you can get it removed and now i dont have to worry about it any more :) and no not too bad just the numbing
i dont think you need to close your eyes its just the fact that the needle goes almost throught your skin and out onto the other side..other than thats its ok...
@UrbanAbstract well i was told not to do sports for six weeks, so it would be fully ealed by then. but for your toenail to return to normal can take a while because sometimes the phenol damages the nail that's still there so it makes a mark on your nail but that just grows out and doesn't affect the healing
ya lol you wont be on cruches at all but the shot does hurt a bit when it is first injected thne the doctor will inject it 3 times and that should hold off the pain so good luck with that and tell me how it went...
well i was able to he just put a big bandaid on my foot but yea it feels a little funny but you get used to it and you only have to wear the bandiad for 2 hrs after surgery after that you must soak your foot in epsom salt to prevent infection and then you dry it off with a paper towel adn put a bandiad over it
I always wanted to go to a doctor to remove mine, but i do it my self, exactly the same. no pain relievers, im used to it now
