Hard hitters have figured her out, she initially never even had any weapons to dominate, her defense was just on fire. Now she has nearly nothing, unless she has a really really good draw, she probably won't even make the final. The surface no long favors her, and the top players are improving, not to mention Serena is back, and Sharapova is having a good season too.
I wonder why tennis is the only sport that doesn't offer a first aid team! In every other sport you see them running in on the court to help! But here, they just stand around and wait for God or something!

Look at the score when the injury happened, Rodionova was on match piont - she porbably thought that Sabine was exaggerating. The truth of the matter is that she had to be on crutches for 8 months after this.

I am a flight attendant and I had Rodianova on one of my flights after she got to the semi-finals of the US open in doubles. She was SOO unpleasant. Demanded an upgrade...actually asked if 'we knew who she was.' in the end we gave her three seats together so she could sleep (in Coach!) and she was so shitty and petulant about it. Cow!

@Kai2oo6 when football players get injured the medical come on the pitch straight away because its their job and they bring stretches just uncase they cant walk. But where were the professional medical team here? I didnt see them once, they must of not turned in for work that day. Even her dad got to her before the medical team and he was in the stands! They need to learn to act quickly and give a shit about the players, US Open one of the worst organised sports ive seen.

I can understand part of her opponent's reaction. She had just won the match and, instead of receiving a handshake and applause from the crowd, she just sees everyone looking at her opponent lying on the floor crying.. She may not even have understood at that point that she was injured.
Also, for those who reckon she was just a crybaby, this injury took her out of tennis for 7 months. Look at the injuries to Mary Pierce or Vera Zvonoreva if you want to see that these injuries hurt - A LOT

I've suffered the same whilst being thrown in combat sport...and that hurt and I cried like a baby just like sabine did here...everyone handles the shock and pain and emotional reaction differently...just glad she's now recovered and is doing well againin the sport she loves...i haven't been able to do my sport again, due to lack of confidence...sigh

@jolandos It was not a ruptured tendon, it was a sprain. I've done it several times and yes, it really really hurts. But her reaction was an exaggeration that probably had more to do with losing. Also it pretty much always happens when you're tired. The video definitely doesn't deserve a "not for the squeamish" tag. I'm not a hater -- I love that she has a 120+mph serve. She's just a crybaby.

I am a flight attendant and I had Rodianova on one of my flights after she got to the semi-finals of the US open in doubles. She was SOO unpleasant. Demanded an upgrade...actually asked if 'we knew who she was.' in the end we gave her three seats together so she could sleep (in Coach!) and she was so shitty and petulant about it. Cow!

The entire US Open team was totally unbelieveable, I can't believe the slow/lack of response. Please don't tell me that there is some stupied rule that states she could not be attended to, common sense must take over. I can't believe she had to yell to the offical "the match is over" so they would help her.
My goodness she is not a football player, therefore an ankle injury of that nature will be more dramatic to her.
