I was a volunteer in Bhutan supporting small enterprises and I saw the growing number of 4WD cars. I also saw the side effects of that trend such as emerging traffic jams, parking issues, and pollution as a result of CO2 emission and primitive repair shops leaking oil and chemicals into the rivers. People in Bhutan are not happy because they can now see commercials for big cars. It is the contrary, as promoting luxury items such a Land Rover only increases greed, frustration and unhappiness.
