  • Im just wondering...Is the return tag really necessary? I mean, when you set "var numYears=65-this.age", the numYears will be that number... Can't you just write document.write(numYears) while not having the return?

  • Natalie Portman = 30

  • Wow after I watch Bucky's video I immediately listen to Ariana Grande's music when I think of her song I think of Ariana and Ariana would equal = JavaScript and I need JavaScript for ActionScript. LOL ArianaScript.

  • Can anyone please tell me why the YearsLeft function didn't use any parameters?

  • @javipelon17 because when u call the function yearsLeft you won't be giving anything with it. You will only use it to calculate the years that u have left until retirement.

When u call the function people or make an object of it you will be giving the name and age as parameters because you want to ask an age and name of a certain person. Hope this helps a bit.

  • 1:40 when she was born? ohh i can do that :D its age++ xD

  • sometimes i feel i want to click the dislike button. just for the purpose of telling bucky that 'hey your tutorials are very great and it helps us a lot . but please don't change your personality and attitude while you are receiving too many praise and congratulations . You are doing good! ALWAYS BE HUMBLE '

  • Thank you very much bucky.. i really like the way you teach..

    thanks!

  • Can I also do this.numYears instead of var numYears? To me using this. is kind of similar to declaring a variable. Correct me if I am wrong :S Thanks.

  • @threeclock yes but it is the universal programing technique.

  • @threeclock I'm no prolearning too, but I don't think so, because doing this.numYears would be giving the yearsLeft function a property, so if you did "var x = new yearsLeft" x would have the yearsLeft property, and it wouldn't be a variable. I THINK.

  • @threeclock this keyword means that you will use the local variable from a function. Otherwise it will use a global declared variable.

  • I made a checker with if xD

  • i just wanna say plz speak slwly bcoz i face lot of troublz to understand u .........infact i like ur way of teaching

  • the tutorial shows how to add methods to objects in javascript. will this work just as well in java? ? thanks

  • @ranssff you can do this in Java but the syntax is slightly different I think

  • Man, my typos are killing me.

    Nice work, Bucky! :D

  • btw why don't you make the yearsLeft function an anonymous function in side people?

  • Good work man, keep up the vids :)
