@Niyaru yes, they're only disguised as men and according to wiki Yaten in the anime got a little crush for Minako and Taiki "admired" Ami. But yes, in the manga Seiya is only cross dressing and is female and due to the fact senshi can only be female well yeah so Seiya is a lesiban.

You can also look at Seiya's and Taiki's prolouges on here: Search Kou Seiya/Sailor Star Fighter or Kou Taiki/Sailor Star Maker. Yaten's isn't up. There is also a picture Naoko herself drew, search Sailor Moon Artbook 5 it's like 2:01 and it around 1:04-1:08 it shows them as female aka their true form.

No, you guys are all wrong, the starlights were always women. The problem lays between the anime and manga. In the Manga they're females dressed in drag, no male bodyparts involved. In the anime, they were magical hermaphrodites. The reason they became male was to attract they're missing princess with a male singing voice. Anyway, in the anime, the writers screwed up. naoko takeuchi (sm creator) never wanted them to be he/shes at all. Because in principal, only females can be sailor senshi.

I think the anime is cooler than the manga... the manga was ... something like "oooh, more epic more idealism more idk" and sailor moon was the most powerful character again. So in anime it was galaxia (although she "lost" to chaos) and I think that's better!!! haha!

@yoiina because of the alien status, the Starlights are originally female and Naoko herself stats senshi can only be female. When transformed, they are back to their original gender. Probably because of their alien status, they might have the power to switch genders at will. In ep 189 Minako herself says "It's shocking that the three lights are girls! It's as if my love has disappeared."
