  • HI,I just got a used craftmans radial arm saw,I need some feedback on how to set it up so it does striaght cuts???any help will be great!!!Thanks

  • @woodworker604

I am not using it as a radial arm saw.

View the updated video to saee how it cuts straight and safe.

  • Ripping on a radial saw is possible, I've done it myself. But I don't recommend it. It is by far in my professional opinion the most dangerous set up used for ripping down wood because of the fact that the bade is above the work cutting in an upward manner potentially lifting the work from the table, the exact opposite of a tablesaw.

  • No sh*t! I like it! Put up some more video when you can of it actually doing it's work.

  • Since making this video I installed a clamp down to hold the stock. I stand at the side of the saw with the blade axle pointed at me when using the saw..

Nothing coming off the blade cut hit me and my fingers are 12" away from the blade.

I can cut a 1/4" wide piece of wood using the clamp.

I believe that this saw design is about as safe as it gets.

  • That is bloody cool!

  • very good............... my home made sliding panel table saw when u free..

  • ?

Why not simply use a table saw?

  • @Mr5Minutes A table saw for you, don't understand the advantages of this invention.

  • Please show it in action! This is really interesting.

  • macduff uses the sliding technology on the OJJ see seumas2 on youtube
