I think the three relative no-names alongside Billy and Jimmy joined Zwan for some mainstream exposure. Hardly anyone knew who those people were until they joined Zwan. Could be why there was so much bitterness after they split. They used Zwan as a shuttle to further their own careers. I guess everyone does that at some point. Don't really see the problem with it now that I think about it, but there is a fine moral line somewhere in there. I like Zwan better now than I did then.

actually I think Paz is a great singer its just that its really hard trying to sing with Billy Corgans kind of voice. I mean you should listen to some of A Perfect Circle's live material when Paz was their bassist. also she is probably by far the best bassist Billy has worked with to date.

this is an old conversation but i have a theory about the Zwan public sex reference: based on some very bizarre blog postings from Paz around the time of the album, and from her own quote about her parents not being proud of her working with Maynard James Keenan, i have to think she's a pretty debauched woman, seems from her blogs that her life is one constant drug-fueled orgy, so i think Billy was accusing her of bedding most or probably the whole band at various times.
Any links to that claim? Its hard to imagine he'd have hand picked a band then ended up hating everyone in it. Did he have problems with the bass player? Figure him believing in god and her coming from that band with Maynard might have led to some fireworks.
I read that on the tour bus we would look at his e-mail and realize that someone read them before he to the them. So he got really pissed. It's not the main reason they broke up but probably had something to do with it.
When asked which of his two former bands would ever reform, he said, "Pumpkins. You'll never see Zwan. I'll never go anywhere near those people. Ever. I mean, I detest them. probably a control freak! he is a control freak!! with a huge ego! he used to write james and darcy's guitar parts for them, and tell them what to play then he would re-record them because he would'nt be satisfied with their playing!

The Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan both split on bad terms. Billy Corgan likes to blame everyone else he has worked with, but he is the only common denominator in both of those groups. Think about it...

Yeah, you've got to wonder. It bothers me because he has the potential to do great things if he surrounds himself with the right people. Seems like him and the bass player got along well, its strange the dont work with each other anymore.

Billy said afterwards, whether this is true or not, I do not know, but he said that band members were engaging in sex in front of the others or something like that, so I'm assuming Paz and one of the other guys, not including Billy or Jimmy. Maybe that pissed him off and that's why they don't work together anymore?

yeah, that's possible. you know, i find it weird that they other people never say anything in response, like when Billy recently blamed the pumpkins for failing in 2000 all on James, and James doesn't even say anything, same with the demise of Zwan. Either these people know that Billy is who he is, or maybe what Billy says is the truth?

Yeah, I think all I heard James say in response to that was he would never be involved with Billy again, that was it. But yeah, you're right, you'd think people would want to defend themselves against what he says but nothing is ever said, that Ive been able to find. Its weird..

this is an old conversation but i have a theory about the Zwan public sex reference: based on some very bizarre blog postings from Paz around the time of the album, and from her own quote about her parents not being proud of her working with Maynard James Keenan, i have to think she's a pretty debauched woman, seems from her blogs that her life is one constant drug-fueled orgy, so i think Billy was accusing her of bedding most or probably the whole band at various times.

Any links to that claim? Its hard to imagine he'd have hand picked a band then ended up hating everyone in it. Did he have problems with the bass player? Figure him believing in god and her coming from that band with Maynard might have led to some fireworks.

I read that on the tour bus we would look at his e-mail and realize that someone read them before he to the them. So he got really pissed. It's not the main reason they broke up but probably had something to do with it.

Wow. Honestly, with APC, Paz was in a band with one of the most detestable human beings on this planet, a immoral playground as he has been called, Maynard. So, I figure she came out of that situation somewhat damaged. Looking at the other guitar players, it might seem they'd gladly follower her into the abyss hahaha
