@lubetubeful I think most of us know that Europeans are here to stay. Native Americans make up 1% of the population - and only 1% of that 1% is full blooded... That's why the tribes and Latinos need to stand together. A myriad of things in this country need to be changed, but kicking ANY group out of the country is impracticable. Segregation only promotes ignorance and hate. If everyone worked on BEing HUMBLE, SHOWing RESPECT & LISTENing we could advance leaps & bounds.

I've been to many protests and I gotta say - I feel like I'm wasting my time. Peaceful protest only worked during the civil rights movement because people were afraid violence would break out any moment. Martin Luther King Jr. would have been ineffective if Malcolm X had not been standing on the other side of the room. Privileged people will not relinquish their power unless they feel there will be real consequences if they don't. We need more lawyers & lawsuits in the game.

@lubetubeful - The history of this country is an absolute nightmare. But you do make a good point. We have to be very careful not to slap labels on each other - otherwise we're no better than all those racists we say we're against. As natives it is all too easy to become weary of all white America - but we need to remember that Europe shipped over a lot of white indentured servants too. The disadvantaged need to stand together against tyranny - no matter the ethnicity.

Yes National Guard Troops. A question for Jan; Should these troops be armed with live ammunition? Some of these people can be identified, by their appearance and speech as Native Americans. Others I would seriously doubt are Native Americans.

If they are not aware that the Spanish destroyed more than 90% of Native Americans, through disease and killings, that the Mexican government sought to completely annihilate the Yaqui by the most horrific murders, that the Mexican government recently tried to starve the Nations south of the border to death, then they should be aware.
