Not yet, IMO. He's got to play well for an extended period of time in a proper league to be classed as a good player. EPL/Serie A/La Liga. I like the MLS but it's nowhere near the standard of those leagues, I'm afraid. I'm sure Montero could cut it at a mid-table side in the Prem but good players will inevitably move to a top side. But he's young and has a lot of time to perfect his game.

I think it speaks to the parity within the league. The salary cap, smaller roster sizes, etc keep things pretty evenly matched between the clubs.

I am amazed at the number of draws also, but we're still only 1/3 of the way through the season so things will likely even out.

What a great addition to the league. Seattle's the rare football club rather than soccer team in MLS. Richly deserves the FC.

Supporters gave a thumping atmosphere, but....

if you wear the colors, you bleed the colors. Never never never boo your players off the pitch. Makes you fickle fans like in other sports instead of football supporters.

Good match. Seattle outplayed DC but should have known DC scratches results out of nothing. Sigi subbed out leadership and likely 3 points.

Expansion means the league expands. It did not expand with Houston, it moved from San Jose. Who won the SS in 2005 and had won 2 MLS Cups. Not quite the same.

If you didn't watch the game, SHUT UP! These highlights suck (to whoever edited this mess). This game was an intense slugfest between 2 top teams with some 30 strikes between them, against 2 very good goalies (they should do a save reel). Both went for the juggler from the get-go thru all 90min. Coach Sigi lost the game by taking both Freddies out too early...
