  • GORGEOUS<3Ilovethis.

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds better when it isn't so rushed.

  • I never heard a version this fast! It's really good, makes a complete difference with the Oistrach&Menuhin duet that I love!

  • im playing this im my private lesson... its actually not that hard (surprisingly) if you break it up into the two parts

  • i lov this ver

  • @TheUploaderz95

jeez! :( you don't have to be so mean to people, and seriously? some people need breaks, and sometimes people just can't do it, it always takes time. AND GO BACK TO SCHOOL AGAIN. stupid wannabe gangster

  • @jubijamful the uploaderz is right. instead of QQing on his fat ass all day he should be practicing those "hard" jumps ROFL

  • I'm practicing this song now for First violin auditions at my high school. Can't get it

  • Splendid. Period.

  • I'm playing theese but how to you make the jumps between strings smooth?

  • @Ohglaba PRACTICE MORE INSTEAD OF SITTING ON YO LAZY ASSSSS INFRONT OF DA COMPUTA ALL DAY MKAYY????????????????????????????????? MAYBE THEN YOU CAN MAKE THE JUMPS BETWEEN THE STRINGS SMOOTH

    DUHHHHH

  • This makes me want to practice my violin.

  • For some reason, my head hurts after listening to this on continuous loop for 2 hours.

  • Eternal applause! Thank you, Kovezett, for this posting.

  • Eternal applause!

  • So gorgeous, so intricate-- it actually gives me goosebumps

  • .........beautiful ppl, beautiful songs.....

  • im stuck on the first song....

  • there is 666 likes :3

  • This performance is absolutely perfect beautiful!

  • I luvs Bachs' double concerto! and this is awesome!

  • forget pop!! im 12 and ive been playing violin for my whole life and now i feel that nothing can stand up to this

  • Love it!! Love this piece!

  • amazing!

  • The PC's of 22 people do'nt have speakers...

  • @TheBeethooven PC's have better gaming capabilities

you can also insert a gpu into your desktop, making it a lot faster than a shitty overpriced mac

  • @jigadude24 Mac s are better for everything else

  • @100ThomasFletcher what? ;-;

  • @jigadude24 I don't think he was trying to imply Macs were better than PCs, I think he was saying that the reason 22 people had 'disliked' this video was because their computers didn't have speakers, and hence, they couldn't hear the concerto.

  • Beautiful....

  • Muy bien

  • it seems to me that the two artists are not playing together - they seem to compete.

  • Good heavens, get a grip! Ever heard of Gustav Mahler? He was WAY ahead of his time and is now astonishingly inspiring. Talk about a man who could write music? His skill is still blazing trails! Bach was my favorite too, until I discovered Mahler.

  • why is there no applause?

  • @keznh I think there's 3 movements and the recording only goes to the 2nd notice how there's no applause in the transition between the 1rst and 2nd movements. . . and why hasn't anyone answered this guy's question it bugged me to the point that I made this stupid youtube account

  • @keznh If you clap between the movements of a concerto, you'll have old ladies smack you in the face.

  • @jensfuckinghansen Speaking from experience?

  • So on point! Every note!

  • violinists are beautiful<3

but man, that bass! he sure is working hard :)

  • @othesemo SO TRUE.

  • way too fast... is csardas!

  • a tiiiiiiny bit fast for my liking, but niiiiice :)

  • Bach will never fail to amaze me even if I live to listen to this concerto a thousandth time!

  • ακου ρε φιλε μουσικη, να παθαινεις πλακα.... :D

  • Instantly recognised this from the Civilization IV soundtrack. :D

  • Sunday morning.. having breakfast with my girlfriend.. listening to this beauty.. It's good to be alive.

  • is it suppose to be stacatto on the solos? or can it be legato

  • Mas, para onde correm com tanta pressa?

  • Mas, para onde correm com tanta pressa?

  • a dir poco "orgasmatico"...

  • a dir poco "orgasmatico"....

  • Concierto TE AMO!!

  • Man... no emotion, and it's not supposed to be this fast.

  • @flagella1337

I agree completely, i feel, like if it was a little bit rushed...

  • I'm currently learning how to play this piece! It's not up to speed yet, but it will be soon :) It's pretty hard. D: I've been working on it for quite awhile :)

  • El volumen, tiene sobresaturacion. por lo demas esta perfecto ;)

  • Just too rapid !

  • jakby za kare grali

  • pretty good, cutting it close though.

  • OH i forgot one thing... counterpoint. sorry.

  • WhenBach wrote for two instruments as in this case, there is no first or second violin. It switches back and forth. That is the style of fugue that he created. That's why he's the greatest and all musicians were inspired by his music, even to this day.

  • lol why do they have sheet music? i doubt they could fit the entire song on one stand like that, and music stands make you look really unprofessional. Sounds nice though.

  • @TheWorstViolinist Oh, thanks for that. Now you're making me remember my class A pieces for Solo & Ensemble to the very note so that I don't use a stand and maybe go to state. ;P

  • is there a seperate 1st violin part that I can listen to? (as well as seperate 2nd violin part). and for people who says the 2nd violin part is harder/more important than 1st violin can you please tell me why?

  • @masterofsuspense2 The second violin starts first. Haha. That's not it.

  • This is my Favorite Classical song. I just they had a Concerto for 2 cello.

  • @Realblazers i could work on one and give you the web adress and you could tell me if you like it?

  • Con Bach todo se torna hermoso y hasta la más mínima partícula se vielve un todo con la creación :)

  • I'm trying to play this piece and it's really the hardest I have ever done!

  • the starting piece is meant to change key and it then becomes fbrilliant.

  • bellissimo

  • GO BACH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • played the 2nd part of this piece this past spring :) i loved it! it whooped my butt and made me work really hard. but im glad i finished it !

  • Can someone please provide me with the cello part of this? PLEASE!?

  • their tempo is weird at times, I guess they get carried away, it is such a deep emotional piece...

still, I enjoyed, it's part of what happens when music is played "live" so it adds a very affective human part to it, very much appreciated

  • been playin violin for bout 3 yrs now and i gotta learn 2nd part of this. wish me luck!!!

  • It's decent - however for professionals who do this for a living the, dynamics in the first movement are disappointing.

  • Comment removed

  • this is my favorite classical music piece. :)

  • which soloist is playing 2nd violin/1st violin?

  • @MrJkMonkey the man is the first violin soloist and the woman is the second violin soloist

  • Vibrato in a Baroque piece? Hmm..

  • isso é deveras encantador!

  • Super Bogenführung, super Betonungen, super Sechszehntelläufe, super Tonführung! So wird Bach gespielt!

  • i hav played this b4:) its nice music ♪xxx

  • i love it.:) hope i can play it that clean someday.:))

  • j'aime beacoup ce CONCERTO j le fait mnt en violon j presque fini le 1er mouvement

  • A friend of mine did this for a contest and we played it this speed and the judge said we went too slow. I wanted to whip out my computer and show him this. Jerk.

  • it was a little messy in the start, but really impressive :D

  • bach rules. amazing

  • Aaaaaaw!

    Stunning!

  • not loving the male soloist's intonation (or the shitload of rosin on his fingerboard) but overall a great performance

  • Genial *-*!!!

  • Largo Ma Non Tanto - way too fast. Thumbs down ;/

  • @uchicha666 This is the 1st movement - Vivace. Largo Ma No Tanto is the 2nd movement. Therefore this is not too fast at all.

  • @TheMetalFiddler

    I know this -.-

  • @gykovacs this one is quite good

  • Lots of people hate Bach but I love him. Really complicated music, but once you get it , you get that great satisfaction

  • @BoOmBoOmPaL People don't hate Bach aha.

  • it's too fast, but is very good

  • Comment removed

  • is it me or is this performance played a bit too fast and at the same tempo.

I have heard versions where they alter the tempo that tiny bit (altering a bit of faster with that bit of slower...) where you really get more of emotion (read as e-motion as emotion moved in motion, being moved) as a result. My thoughts...

  • seconded

  • Grande!!..thanks :-)

  • I'm a budding composer and often find myself at a loss for music...

Listening to Bach, Brahms or many other composers never fails to inspire me... they are the force behind my compositions.

We in the 21st century are in dire need of another composer as skilled as Bach.

  • @othesemo omg ik! its become so hard to name famous composers after the 21st centruy. i mean, there have been AMAZING ones yes (i.e Samuel Barber who wrote one of my fave pieces Adagio for Strings) but we need someone who is so famous you can pick a random not musical person off the street and have them name a famous string composer. best oh luck to u and your compositioNS! PLEASE teel me about any songs u write cause i LOVE hearing new pieces!

  • @othesemo So am I! We have this thing at school we do every year called Solo & Ensemble, which means we choose a solo, then find people for a quartet, duet, or whatever you want. I'm in middle school, we both study Suzuki, so this should be fairly easy.

  • I know... our school has that too.

I'm in a quintet with some friends of mine and we'll be playing Intermezzo by Johannes Brahms [Opus 116 No. 6]

  • @othesemo Well check Helloween, fuckin compositions..buts its not made for a whole opera!

  • @othesemo: Greats throughout history in every application: music, medicine, sports, writing, religion, design; and the X factor in every great is developing intuition and connection with spirit (god and angels). bach had it for sure! So did mozart: he is quoted as saying he could hear and see an entire piece flash through his mind in a instant! Of course, without his gifts in notation they would have never made it to the page, we call this downloading in the spiritual community! let divine come

  • @othesemo sigh i think the same thing, but i dont think any1 could produce such masterpieces as this man did. as a listener, i enjoy it alot! as a violinist i thoroughly enjoy playing such wonderful pieces. Bach, Brahms, Tchaikovsky all geniuses in their time and still in the present.

  • @othesemo I'm also a budding composer! We are in need of another composer as skilled as Bach, I agree, especially when we see that the majority of classical pieces are really just movie soundtrack pieces. Hans Zimmer is quite good, but he's really a movie composer as is John Williams. What kinds of things do you write?I prefer sacred and absolute music. Do you use Noteflight ever?

  • What can I say...I think this is one of the most wonderful J.S.Bach composition, personally is my favourite, when I start listen this I become like hypnotized. Thanks J.S.B.

  • lol same thing happens to me, its so captivating.

  • Hehe! I'd just like to know how long it took the double-bassman to calm down after the first movement. He goes through those 16ths like a hot knife through butter:) Really nice.

  • here was a man who knew how to write music

  • subarashii uta de atte kokoro ni hibiku uta de aru.

  • One of my favourite pieces of music. played it many many years ago at school. albeit 2nd violin part .....

  • 1st violin part is just as easy if not easier....

  • What a superb performance! Great posting, thanks.

  • contrappunto allo stato puro

  • muy bacano como tocaron se lleven mi completa admiracion

  • un bach de toute sérénité !

  • Bravo... well played .. Bach i believe is smiling...

  • that was so awosome! YOU GUYS ARE GOOD!!1

  • GAH! If only I could play this well. We're currently playing this peice in my highschool orchestra and I have the part of the first violin soloist. I can play the piece through, all the notes correct, but somehow the second violinist and I keep getting off tempo somehow, and I cant figure it out. IT'S SO STRESSFUL!! but it's a beautiful piece and I've loved it since before we played. I just hope everything goes well for our concert.

    :/

  • i can only play the vivace part (1st mvmt). i play both violin parts, but i like the 2nd violin part better (the part played by the woman). i think it sounds prettier. they're so good. but i think they should stress dynamics....

  • wow i like it but ive played long enough to know that the dynamics should have been stressed more ITS TO LOUD!!!!!!! other than that its pretty good love the violins!

  • im practicing this piece. its hard but ive only been playing for 4 months :] i love this piece with a passion.

  • My favourite bach violin concerto!

  • i am playing this peace and it is hard well parts. but you are great!!!!

  • ugh trained that second violin part now 2 weeks, and finally i made it : ) our concert went very well : )

  • Okay, all you people with bad comments be quiet. You guys don't know what real music is if you dont think that this is well played. None of you have that great of talent to be talking.

    Great job!

  • Have you ever heard of the fact that that whole passage would have required him to play the whole passage with his little finger if he hadn't shifted

  • illumkuh

Szégyen ilyen felvételt feltenni, ha már megtörtént, jobb elfelejteni.

  • He looks like he's playing a 3/4 violin and she looks like she's playing viola. That's funny. I just wish that the microphones on them didn't get rid of so much of the resonance and overtones :(

  • this is the best bass part i've heard

  • im doing this for my holiday recital and its really fun learning this piece. Basically, this piece is pro

  • Man, what i wouldnt give to go to a concert like this.

  • amazing!!! Bach is ma favorite!!!

  • @DarkLoveFashion To me Bach is a prophet who had a direct link, a channel to the yonder world. He just didn't express himself in words like traditional prophets are supposed to do, but in music. In marvellous, pure and perfect music that speaks from the heart to the heart! Long live Bach!!!

  • @MusiqueMonAmour You're absolutely right and your words are very wise.

  • youve heard of an electric piano. NOT an electric harpsichord

  • I have a hard time liking classical music, but this is amazing.

  • Love this shit man, this piece is the bomb diggity. I could totally have sex to this.

  • I know; these sound waves are completely sexy.

  • lol yeah me too

  • I did

  • The original called for 2 violins for the main solos, a cello, a viola, a harpsichord.

  • something sounds off, but I can't tell what it is..

  • i thing the background ppl are ruining it lol.

  • Its the guy, he sounds a bit flat.

  • if I'm allow saying one word about this, it would be "awsome"!!!

  • One of my favorite songs!

  • I should have been more specific in my original comment. What I meant was that I don't know how many orchestral instruments, in total, Bach had in mind when he wrote this piece. I've never see the score for this concerto; I don't even know if it specifies exactly how many instruments should be used.

I do prefer a smaller number of total instruments, so that the different parts can be heard more clearly. Thanks to Ruinney for responding.

  • to fmotp: The only autographed score for this that exists today is the double harpsichord concerto BWV 1062; and the only autographed parts for the violin concerto were the Violin I and Violin II Solos,

Either the continuo was probably transposed from C minor to D minor and reconstructed in the style of the autographed solos or was copied and the original lost (we don't really know)

Generally a small ensemble is used for solo concertos so the soloists can be heard, it's never really specified

  • hey u'll know when it sounds right

  • Woah! Check out the speed haha! It's amazing...

  • i am soo jealous right now, i wish i cud play this piece like this :'(

  • HEY! I'd like to see you do better, and if your not going to put anything posative, don't put anything at all, no-one wants to hear your cocky comments. Damn i hate people being up their own arse!

  • You know, you sound like someone who just didn't make it, and now you're jealous at everyone who's better than you

  • Actually, I'm still just in high school. I haven't made it yet, but I know I will.

  • I admire your ambition. I too am a classical musician-aspirant. But please don't troll, they don't play that badly.

  • your so cocky..how do you KNOW you will make it?

  • Im afraid i don't appreciate racism. Asshole.

  • great just great

  • wow........ i have no words...

  • Amazing...

  • Superb! This seems to me to be the right amount of instruments - I have no idea how many Bach wrote it for. You can hear the harpsichord and cello continuo really well. The soloists are great. This is on my list of favorite pieces of classical music.
