Monster Hunter boosted the sales for the PSP in Japan, but it was released in dec. 2010. In feb 2011 the MH hype was pretty much over, long before the 3DS was released. The reasons why the 3DS isn't selling as good as Nintendo planed are self made

1. No strong 1st Party games

2. too expensive

3. Big releases on the DS(pokemon black/white(

4. confusing branding: Most (casual)Gamer I know, think the 3DS is just a new model, like the DSi or XL. Nintendo didnt make clear enough that its nextgen

@Darkcloud1983 NES(DK), SNES, N64, DS(Mario), GC(Luigi, WR), Wii(Zelda, WiiSports). Look at the charts MH reached 4 mil by feb. Its not MH. The best selling game last week in J and Eu were DS games.The DS is outselling the 3DS.

I bought the 3DS with 5 games at day 1, I would have bought it for 400$ with no games, but I don't count i am a fan. Think like the normal costumer. Especially my 4th point is hurting the 3DS. Things will get better after E3 and when the big titles will hit the market.

Glad I am not the only person who wants to see motion controls like the Wiimote on the Nintendo Stream. I hope they don't go so hard core that they just say screw it all together and just have the Wiimote turn into the Wavebird or GCN controller of this gen aka a side option controller. But we will see.
