I see that this is an old post but if you're still monitoring it, could you say who made the Mk II reproduction? Is it Hestekrefter? if it is actually Norwegian, I can't understand it and am having trouble following the information. About the engine comment: Holman-Moody of Charlotte, N.C. produced engines for NASCAR teams as well as Ford MK II GT40s in 1966 and 1967 and is doing so presently. They also make GT40 MK II Continuations for sale. Documentation is easily available.

Front suspension was totally modified as the original GTD did not do anyone happy. The engine is a fuel injected 358 Nascar Winston cup with 650hp at 8500rpm, not the claimed 700hp at 10000rpm. Originally it was built with the legendary Ford FE 427. The transmission came out from a Silk Cut Jaguar group C car.
