As funny as this is, keep in mind... this is your tax dollars at work! And if you look around Youtube, you can see dozens of videos like this. Very sad! What an embarrassment the NYC sanitation is to the city and the country.

the stupidity came from higher on the chain than sanitation workers, jerkoff. listen know-it-all, they were salting and were ordered to stop. they dont order each other ya moron. wow, ur a genius, mr hindsight, from the sidelines of course.

This video shows the stupidity of the Department of Sanitation, if they would have started plowing and salting an hour after the snow fell, maybe this would not have happened. But of course the slow down that these men started had dire consequences. The Department of Sanitation jobs are a real joke!!!

A garbage truck with a V plow on it, that's something I haven't seen yet

Gotta give it up to these guys ... that there was A LOT of snow. I'm sure a lot of lessons were learned for the next blizzard (ahem .. chains ... cough)

@i8ramin Those do have chains on all 8 drive tires. It's surprising they got stuck on level ground with a paved road under the snow.

@i8ramin Them trucks had chains on them ! But the issue is no weight in the back.. add 10 or 15 ton of weight and them trucks should not be stoppable

i really cant believe they use garbage trucks in a tight city to plow...i cant amagine how many accidents they have.
