  • Its not bad video

  • This is the best showcase for GT4 1080i I can find here on Youtube, but like Naroon201 said, YouTube cant display shit accurately

  • without difference

  • The wheels aint spinnin right... I think i'd rather normal definition. Unless the minolta was created with spinners.. i can imagine them discussing it now. Ahah res! we have acheived a vewy honouwable power to weight watio and engine efficiency! Now all we need is a set of gangshta spinny wheeow to honouwably smash our opposition!

  • click for hd holy shit i never knew gran turismo 4 can look so good!! :)

  • This is one of only two games on the PS2 capable of 1080i. :)

  • @mickeymouse12678 The other is Tourist Trophy, a motorcycle racing game, known as "the Real Riding Simulator," also made by Polyphony.

So, essentially, without Polyphony, there would be no HD on the PS2. (Well no HD-capable content.)

  • @DerivedSu True. They should've made more of these.

If I ever get my hands on one of these, I'm buying a component cable for my PS2.

  • I think it looks amazing .

  • @Weelious225 no problem, most important to keep peace and love :D thanks for regards, i hope you got your game :)

  • @Weelious225 first im argued about ps2 capabilities to perform anti-aliasing, and not comparing 360 to ps2. Im not an Englishman, so its difficult for me to right every sentence correct, but im improving everyday and in a future i will right without mistakes :)

  • @vegetaholic2 i will right (writte) loooool

  • What's the point in upping the resolution if the actual objects are ugly? Waste of processing power.

  • If I'm not mistaken, GT4 is currently the only game PS2 handles at 1080i, right?

There are some other games that PS2 can do at 720p, but not at 1080i, right?

  • In fact thanks to Nintendo's desire to make mircoscopicly tiny gaming consoles, there's a current generation console(the only one I love owning actually) that technically can't output a 1080i Signal despite being more graphically capable than Ninty's previous system. Funny that their previous system can do 1080p(that's not an urban legend, it was just never used for same reason the PS2's capability was only used once or twice).

Guess that's the price they payed for such a compact system.

  • sorry I ment to say "it was only ever used for this game."

You have to realise that game systems are often built with future compatibility in mind because after all they do have to last 5 years or more. PS2 had a HD output, but mainstream TV technology at the time ment that Sony and Game companies never saw fit to use the PS2's full capabilities. I mean it originally came with a PS2 Hard Drive bay too so that could be a future upgrade but the remodel got rid of that because PS3 was coming.

  • is this ps2

    looks ugly

  • @tgms177

yes it is PS2 and it is PS2 in 1080i... it's something the console was technically capable of outputting, but it was only used once in this game.

  • @tgms177 ...and your screenname looks like something that came out of my ass...

  • Looks really great.

  • Mini Le-mans 1999 Race xD

  • i love the minolta XD

  • It's YouTube. You can never trust a web video for an accurate representation of the quality of a game, movie, etc.

  • @Naroon201 yeah i think he might be playing this on a PC because GT4 in 1080i on mine doesn't look all that crisp.

  • Well it looks too good for a ps2 game already so I wouldn't expect it to have more than 2x antialiasing.

  • 2x antialiasing :DDDDD dude you are super joker :DDDD

  • @vegetaholic2 huh? 2x antialiasing seams reasonable.

  • playstation 2 is so weak what thinking about 2x antialiasing on 1080i GT4 is insane :) is insane to think how gt4 can support 1080i :D and is crazy what ps2 can suport 2xAA on so low hardware, i dont know is where a few games what support AA on ps2, even ps3 hardly can get 2,4xAA and not all games support AA, but on xbox360 all games support AA up to 4x, but it has special 10 mb embedded into gpu for AA

  • @vegetaholic2 dude.. dont be a fag fanboy... The ps3 isnt that bad.. and btw.. microsoft lie to you all with the "all games are 1080P" Its only software based.. thats the reason some games look strange like this strnge fighting game(( thaiboxing or whatever)) And no.. iam not a fanboy, i have microsoft(( sry i dont like microsoft even if i have the consoles as collector.. and because some games)) i have sony and nintendo consoles.. And now go on google and get your facts dude.

  • @SONGOKU02 im not a fucking fanboy, is true about what i said, what ps3 has very big problems with antialiasing, xbox360 dont have, due special designed gpu, and you think im stupid, where is only few games what support native 1080p on xbox 360 like same on ps3 :) the fact xbox has similar programming packet, witch allows to create games easier without loosing quality, but of course i know whats ps3 is more powerful, just need time to develope great games due fucked up programming language

  • @vegetaholic2 You're an idiot.

  • @sk8ervzla without an arguments, your words worth double shit

  • @vegetaholic2 Read all of your comments. And check who's the idiot.

  • @sk8ervzla i dont see any problem in my comments, its your problem if you dont understand something :)

  • @vegetaholic2 ok. xD Sry then. Your comment only real hear like that. so.. Sry if i missunderstand it. :) And the last time, for ps3 comes really great games.. but strange.. now i have a hd tv since christmass.. now i only play wii.. x.x .. Iam strange sometimes xD
