Please, who will help and send me all hausa songs in text, or try to translate them into arabic language. I am fond of Hausa life and traditions, I am trying to spread this literature in my country Sudan, because I am sure they will love it, Hausa in Negiria are very close to us.
indian and arab music derives from african music. so they just taking back what used to be theirs. listen to people like oumou sangare, and griot music from mali and you'll understand.

I understand that, but what I was saying is that everyone is influenced in someway by others. There is nothing wrong with that. What I find great is that it ends up becoming a part of a culture in it's own way.
There seem to be some confusion about the language. This is HAUSA language spoken as a lingua franca in the Northern part of Nigeria. Also spoken in about six West African Countries like Ghana, Niger, etc. You hardly get to hear them because they don't have any kind of promotion unlike songs from Southern Nigeria.
can sum1 really tell me wat language iz dis..am african 2 but i cant seem 2 kno wat language iz it...i luv deh song & i dont even kno wat dey sayin....help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I understand that it's Nigerian Hausa music. However, based on a general comparison to the music across the continent (particular the music of western and central Africa), I find that it has some striking similarities to other music of the regions I mentioned above... particularly the vocal inclinations, and tone progressions.
That was very nice with the stranlation for us to understand. Nice saying of the Deen Al-Islam and true. These are North Nigerians right? Corret me if I am wrong. Because I think the Muslims are in the North right? No wonder why their songs are soo similar to the kinds of songs and nasheeds in other Muslim countries of Africa.
Wallahi I never tire of this song. I can listen to it all day! It has this Sudanese/Arab beat to it that so touches my heart. And the vocals... LOVELY... especially the male part.
Gud!

For instance, compare this music to that found in Ghana, Cameroon, or even southern Nigeria...
...now compare it to Malian and Ethiopian music. They share strong vocal and tonal qualities that aren't found in other African music.

Very interesting how Muslim regions of West Africa have music so similar to that of East Africans (Ethiopians).
