I've lost weight through eating kids' meals at fast food places (Wendys' is the best) during lunch breaks and ate asian foods for dinner. For breakfast it was a protein shake. Just eating three times a day has helped me. I've tried eating smaller meals through out the day, it worked, but only for awhile, then I started to do the old tradition of three meals a day and it worked. I could see why people in the '50s were so thin. Kids' meals today were adult meals then and the food weren't fatty.

Hi, what might help is checking out the difference between glycaemic index and glycaemic loading, also known as GI and GL. As I understand it, GL takes in to account the actual avg portion of the thing you're eating. So for e.g. a raw golden delicious apple is say around 39 GI, but for a 120g serving is 6 GL (and below 10 GL is low). GL does make it a little easier and more practical. Have a look online or at your library for GL diets/cookbooks etc to get more of an idea. :D

i tend to pick on what this channel's message is cause some of it is preachy. BUT ever since 2003 i've been eating right, no diets, no fads, just eating right. these are the guidelines i've been following for over a year now. i've managed to lose 90 pounds. several dress sizes. i exercise everyday and maintain a healthy "diet". i HATE that word, because they don't work. they're only temporary. so really, i maintain a healthy LIFESTYLE. that's what it's all about. i feel better than ever! i recommend losing weight the all natural, healthy way. if i can do it, anyone can!!!

I have one with fat% and it makes me not look at weight so much as body fat and I hide it for a while and don't take it out for a few weeks or so to make sure I am on the right track

This made sense. I've been spinning 5 times a week and my scale is not moving. I've gained muscle and lost fat without loosing weight. Hearing him helps me deal with the scale not moving!

I've lost weight through eating kids' meals at fast food places (Wendys' is the best) during lunch breaks and ate asian foods for dinner. For breakfast it was a protein shake. Just eating three times a day has helped me. I've tried eating smaller meals through out the day, it worked, but only for awhile, then I started to do the old tradition of three meals a day and it worked. I could see why people in the '50s were so thin. Kids' meals today were adult meals then and the food weren't fatty.

Fast food is toxic just from the hydrogenated fats, chemicals and low nutritional density. Don't eat it. Even if you are losing weight because of smaller portions, it does matter where those calories are coming from b/c the result will be a thinner, but still unhealthy you.

Hi, what might help is checking out the difference between glycaemic index and glycaemic loading, also known as GI and GL. As I understand it, GL takes in to account the actual avg portion of the thing you're eating. So for e.g. a raw golden delicious apple is say around 39 GI, but for a 120g serving is 6 GL (and below 10 GL is low). GL does make it a little easier and more practical. Have a look online or at your library for GL diets/cookbooks etc to get more of an idea. :D

Dr. Bellonzi is decribing a well known diet that is very successful already; it is called the south beach diet.
The success of south beach diet depends on glycemic index. Rule of thumb: always choose low glycemic index foods with good carb. Phase one of South Beach Diet consist of low glycemic food. In later phase, you can mix foods with higher glycemic numbers.
I guess all diets aren't bad after all.

A friend said she lost weight taking a supplement called Calm at night--I think it has Calcium and Magnesium. Can you comment on that?

It's not always about over eating or eating the wrong things...after my last bought with cancer, I have been experiencing many problems and it's left me without better heath care and money is a big factor when you are just getting by, doesn't leave room for doing and having the right things...Oh well, not ranting - just wishful thinking!

I feel the same.I just don't get out and I've destroyed myself over the years.While I'm not Diabetic(yet)I'm bored,lonely and have no strength.Right now I am in a lot of pain from Bursitis in my whole left arm so to get out or to dress is agony.I have forgot how to live.I have no motivation.But must do something soon or I won't see 60.Happily married but I have lost myself somewhere along the way.

ACG is a hormone that he uses in his weight loss program. It kick starts the body into burning fat.
Cedar grove refers to cedar trees which some people have an allergic reaction to. A healthy body with a large organ reserve can handle allergens and toxins much better than an unhealthy body with no organ reserve.

I'm exercising VERY heavily for over 45 minutes a day, getting smaller, but not losing weight, and eating mostly right- low glycemic index food --zone-ish--except drinking wine, and I'll say too much wine--a product of quitting smoking. I'm 48, help.--? please?

Sometimes people's body's have built up toxins which cause them not to burn fat.
Also, muscle tissue is more dense than fat, so it weights more. If you are getting smaller the exercise is working. You have less fat and more muscle.

i tend to pick on what this channel's message is cause some of it is preachy. BUT ever since 2003 i've been eating right, no diets, no fads, just eating right. Ever since I was trained by a nutritionist on how to eat correctly lost 80 pounds slowly, the right way and kept it off. This vid 5 STARS!!!
