How is someone who handcuffs people to the wall and beats them with a chain an asset to the gay community? His bitching makes people think all gays are bitchy mean and horrible. George is a terrible role model for gay men. Not everything George says is true. A lot of it is to hurt people who feels have slighted him. He's very vindictive and revengeful.

I remember when Culture Club came out in the early 80's I was totally enamoured by him. However being an American boy that was something I had to keep to myself. I had a picture of him and Marylin in a copy of Star Hits ( or was it Smash Hits?). Not only was he beautiful but he had a great wit and whip smart.

The thing I remember most about Culture Club was that when you went to one of their concerts ALL of the girls would dress up EXACTLY like Boy George, same make-up, hair and clothes. At first I thought that was what Antohney was about. Kind of being a retro-Boy George groupie, but then he started talking about "binding" and taking "T" and I realized he wants to be the next Boy George literally!

I hope he survives his teenage trials.Ant is so talented!

@nuclearswan Actually you got it wrong. Jon Moss could have had anyone. Have you seen pictures of Jon when he was young? He was the most handsome man in the world. He could have had any woman, but he chose George. That was the biggest mistake of Jon's life.

If I was younger, it prob would have been Boy, but cause I was ur age in the 70s, it was Bowie. Tho I like Boy cause he overcame heroin addiction too! 'They' turned him into a doll in the 80s, but he's back to his seriously cool and on the edge self now!

Having read bios about Boy George, you know about his struggles with drug addiction.

I agree he is a brilliant artist,trend-setter,and gay advocate,but you should learn from his mistakes,too.The Beatles and other rockers of the '60s were my idols,but I never bought the drug culture part of it.Drugs have killed more great musicians and ruined more brilliant careers than anything.If you need escape,do lucid dreaming instead!
