lack of fan base i think...most metal fans in the states are into this 'thrash revival" thing thats going on...which is why alot of local bands are trying out the thrash thing...but if you look hard enough, you'll find melodic death fans in the states...

Actually, Americans have taken a liking to the whole "hardcore" scene. Metalcore, and Deathcore have grown a lot in popularity.

haha.. this is funny. anyways, im kevin the vocalist for iced realm and yeah... we can all agree that we are a bit out of sync. we recorded this at a friend's house and his audio interface wasn't working so we recorded every track one by one without a metronome via USB. pretty had to get the timing right with that USB lag.

What are some of you narrow-minded twats complaining about? So its production isn't FLAWLESS for a demo, it's understandable and quite common for bands, but the song itself is still badass and enjoyable. Victor's taste in variety just shows that the band listen and enjoy everything and don't subject themselves to one thing. You guys can learn a thing from them... maybe then you people can be so open minded and stop criticizing other's work for being 'bad' because you don't agree with the sound.

Hey guys this is actually Victor the guitarist of Iced Realm. I had no idea this video was lying around on youtube but I must say im flattered by the compliments and arguments. First off a bit about the demo. It was recorded in one day and it was our first demo as well. It was meant to solely get our name out there. With that in mind it makes sense that the quality and performance is not going to be up to par with a professional album.

if you havent yet, now's a good time to expand into other genres. Black metal , yes, very nice place to go. black/death metal is a great place too. its both black and has melodic qualities sometimes. check out Martriden. they do it well.

Haha actually thats exactly what ive done. I was really in to Melodeath for about at year. Then once i found all the good bands in that genre, i was just looking for more melodically influenced Metal genres.

So naturally i started looking in to Melodic Black metal, and that leads in to Symphonic Forms of black metal. I'm Much more satisfied with Black metal it has that dark, cold texture too it. its not so standard, Song structure is more varied.

Haha, I was the same. Started with Melodeath and worked my way to Melo-thrash & Melo-black, then grew out into Symphonic, Folk, and so many different variations of symphonics and melodics that there really is no limit to what you can find. So many great bands with great talent and amazing melodies out there, it's amazing we've all missed out on this stuff before. It's people like oabassi and websites like Youtube that help spread these awesome and fresh talents across the world. Let it be heard!
