Anyone notice there picsio uses "fake" resolution to make to get the 720 and 1080p? Change from 1080 to 720 and then 640, you'll notice the camera appears to change it's "zoom" function. aka, fake resolution or interlaced resolution. Explains why my Canon SD400 has crisper res at 640 then my picsio has at any resolution it offers.
@FARUKRAMIC i HAVE THIS JVC PICSIO AND ITS GREAT...BUT...THE LOW VOLOUME WHILST WATCHING PLAYBACK OF WHAT I HAVE JUST RECORDED IS VERY LOW BUT IS GREAT WHEN PLUGGED INTO TV OR UP-LOADED VIDEOS TO PC, ARE ALL JVC PICSIO's LIKE THIS OR JUST MINE ? thankyou kindly.
please help.i got this cam yesterday and im really good with electronics but this camera makes no sense.when i try to use the software it comes with it goes into "not responding" after like 5 mins.the only files i can get off of it are quicktime and when i put those into an editing software they're just black with no audio.help!
@Chaanee One thing I know for sure is that Youtube doesn't support 60p/50p (or 60i/50i for that matter) it compresses the video files into something else. If this video is really showing 30p (30 fps, frames/sec) then this video shows why it's not enough. Youtube doesn't show motion smoothly. Go check a 60p video on the internet and you'll see.
Wow thats a really cool video. The motion and color are excellent. I just posted my first Picsio Test on my site for everyday motion. Come to my You Tube site RedPortiaOne and check it out :)
I just bought one tonight. Its ok. quality is pretty good, except the sound is terrible. worse than my iPhone by far. I would suggest looking into a flip ultraHD. I have not used one for very long, but it seemed pretty good. kinda bulky though. the picsio is super small, sleek, and good looking.
if you got problems with the sound get an external mic, or even a XLR Unit.....so you can add an external mic,...if you think its to windy get over it ALMOST every mic, haves problems with direct wind noises.......
Greeeat Camcorder, Nothing but good to Say about it, all i really can say that i kind of Dislike is the low light conditions on the Camera, but still you Cant expect the fullest from a little Camcorder that fits in your pocket. HD is outstanding enough for this little thing. I fully reccomend it. I think you get the best results shooting in 720P with 60fps in sunlight of coarse, thats when i get the best out of mine =]
Hey! Great vid... I just bought on of those last week and I'm having a really super hard time watching my videos from my camcorder on my computer... Not just that. Also, putting it on Windows Movie Maker! Please Help, Thanks so much!
I believe that if there are not specific separate uploads, one for 720p, and another for 1080p, then the 1080p (in an upload such as this one which is 1080p) is default. A 720p and 1080p recording must exist for the HD button to offer a choice between more than one of the formats.
Well, this video is only 720p and not 1080p when you are watching in HD, I checked it through a special add-on for FireFox.
And no, if you upload a video in 1080p all options should be available, 1080p, 720p, HQ, Low Q and some others.
The problem with YouTube is that sometimes, even if you upload a video with theoretically right resolution, the option you want still isn't available, it's kinda stupid.
I believe that this video is uploaded in 1080p but, YouTube only made it 720p.

Hmm, look at that... but it's not a wide screen format, fail. But maybe there are some settings on the cam.
True standard 1080p for me is exactly 1920 x 1080, and no black lines on the sides or on the bottom and the top. It kinda pisses me of when I watch blu-ray movies on my full HDTV, 16:9, 1920 x 1080. A big black line on the bottom and on the top. But that's just because movies are made for cinemas and use a very wide aspect ratio, it's similar to panorama.
I recommend this video from Norway:

My HDC-SD9 has the same glitchyness to motion such as your train and how it appears to be strobing or pulsing as it moves.

Yeah, but just wait til Flip comes out with their 1080p version.
Besides, the UltraHD mic is by far the best on the market.

@trinix777 It's probably got something to do with what resolution they rendered it in if they used a video editing program.

@trinix777 720p on Youtube means 30p - not 60p right?

@Chaanee, I would need you to re-formulate your question before I can answer it because I don't think I understand what you mean... o_O

@trinix777 maybe because 1080p means here : 1440x1080! thats the size of the 1080p record with this cam
