The fact that the Quran had to be abrogated in it's own time shows that the Quran was man-made. Can't Allah come up with solid revelation of which could be applicable throughout Muhammad's 23 years as a Prophet? I had heard of this before picking up the Koran, and I went to an Islamic website to get the sura revelation order and then read it as revealed instead of as arranged.
There is a noticeable trend...Among other things, 2/3 of the way through the emphasis is less on "follow Allah" and more on "follow Allah and his messenger".
Mo's edicts take on more importance...sounds like a cult to me.
And the penultimate Sura that was revealed on the mount sermon is Sura #9, Surah(t) al tawba . . . . which, REALLY is the bloodiest, goriest, "kill them wherever you find them" sura.
It essentially abrogates EVERYTHING that came before it, as it is quite long, and talks about everything. The title of it is "The Book of Repentance"

Not all sources agree with Bukhari about Ayesha's age, they were not collated until 300-odd years after Muhammad's death. Other sources give Ayesha's age as being 16 at marriage and 19 at consummation.

if one were to arrange the Qur'an in chronologically "revealed" order and were to delete all verses that were abrogated you would be left with the "true" islam no?

If we list the Qur'an in its "revealed" order, then once you get to Sura # 9 (the penultimate revealed Sura) Surah(t) Al Tawba - you pretty much erase the entire thing.

You didn't know about the chronological order of the Qur'an? I'm surprised at that. Yeah basically instead of it being ordered in the order in which things were revealed, it was arranged in order of chapter length, so after the short intro of chapter 1 the longest chapters were at the beginning and the shortest were at the end. It's amazing how the qur'an can be called the perfect book when it has this feature. If you did this with any other book it would not be published.
That is why most muslims will say "you don't know anything about Islam.... Islam is peacefull" While in reality, most of the first chapters came later on. Sura 9 the most violent of all is actually the most recent. "clerics" know this but do not share the info with their followers.
Either that or the muslims are practicing taqiyya, which I've encountered enough times to know that normal muslims use it. Failing that they either don't know or are in denial about it, and will say things like 'it says be horrible, but it no longer applies' or 'that was only about a specific situation' or 'any other standard apologetic bs.

The fact that the Quran had to be abrogated in it's own time shows that the Quran was man-made. Can't Allah come up with solid revelation of which could be applicable throughout Muhammad's 23 years as a Prophet? If Allah intended to gradually build the community He would have structured revelation as such, not reveal something then have to change it. This is a major contradiction within Islam.

As for raping slaves, the Koran says that a man can have sex with any of his wives or his female slaves (spoils of war). Obviously Mo was doing this, as in the case of his wife's slave Maria. He then promised he'd stop after getting caught in the act, but then Allah conveniently sent a verse absolving him of the oath.

I like your point about the order of revelation in the Koran, and you are 100% correct (as usual).
I had heard of this before picking up the Koran, and I went to an Islamic website to get the sura revelation order and then read it as revealed instead of as arranged.
There is a noticeable trend...Among other things, 2/3 of the way through the emphasis is less on "follow Allah" and more on "follow Allah and his messenger".
Mo's edicts take on more importance...sounds like a cult to me.

And the penultimate Sura that was revealed on the mount sermon is Sura #9, Surah(t) al tawba . . . . which, REALLY is the bloodiest, goriest, "kill them wherever you find them" sura.
It essentially abrogates EVERYTHING that came before it, as it is quite long, and talks about everything. The title of it is "The Book of Repentance"
Essentially, one can say that the Quran is nothing but Sura #9

Well, the Romans and Jews certainly thought so.
The difference is, the changes brought about in Christianity (i.e. viewing Jesus as God) were not caused by Jesus himself, but by others who had never even met him.
Jesus did say "follow me", ask followers to leave behind wealth/amilies, and did other things that could be seen as cultlike.

Not all sources agree with Bukhari about Ayesha's age, they were not collated until 300-odd years after Muhammad's death. Other sources give Ayesha's age as being 16 at marriage and 19 at consummation.
Even if her age were 6 / 9, the custom of taking child brides was a part of Middle-Eastern culture. The Jews practised it as well as many of the other nations in the Middle-East and remember too that Mary of Nazareth's age was probably around the 12-14 mark.

Funny how times only change over 10 years . .. . . and not over 1,500 years.
If we list the Qur'an in its "revealed" order, then once you get to Sura # 9 (the penultimate revealed Sura) Surah(t) Al Tawba - you pretty much erase the entire thing.

LMFAO - Hair is a sex-linked genetic trait, only passed down through the X chromosome. I, being the father would give my baby a Y chromosome (you already made my baby a boy since you used the masculine possessive pronoun). Anyway, his mother would give him an X chromosome, of which she has 2, one from her father and one from her mother. I am a U.S. citizen, yes, but I am an "arab" - Syrian . . .. i can actually grab the najas qur'an and understand it in the language that YOU are supposed to only pray in.

I dont know Arabic, I speak Pushto and Farsi. However I learnt SOME Quran from an Egyptian, and he told me what the Quran says, and he was a scholar. I trust him anyday over you!

How do you feel being part of a religion that you must rely on scholars and personal interpretors to understand your own faith? Everyday arabs tell westerners that you can't understand the qur'an that has been translated . . . . it must be in its original arabic.
You do know that Allah chose to reveal the Qur'an in arabic, and not Pashto . . . . . so you are wasting your time as HE IS NOT listening.
Allah only speaks arabic.

LOL. this line is getting old. There is a big difference between Allah and the Sphagetti monster. Allah is an abstract entity with a function that was already executed(the universe apparently) but the Sphagetti monster is a structural entity with no executed function to see and touch.

I remember in the 90's when Sadaam had said something and had to add "there is no god but god" at the end, some brainwashed thing like "Inshallah", this was back before the first gulf war. I always thought it was weird, then I found out 3 years ago, it honestly translates to "there is no ILLAH but ALLAH" with in fact makes Allah a pagan god, since the term illah means god.

Correct . . . ILLAH إله = god (lower case G)
Allah الله = God (upper case G)
Essentially, ALLAH is the word ILLAH + the definite article "AL"
so AL+ ILLAH = AL-LLAH = The God
So YES . . . .it actually presents more of a monolatrism view of god instead of a monotheistic view, as we are lead to believe.
Monolatrism is ONLY worshiping one god, and NOT "others" - which is essentially what the phrase لا إله إلا الله insinuates.

You didn't know about the chronological order of the Qur'an? I'm surprised at that. Yeah basically instead of it being ordered in the order in which things were revealed, it was arranged in order of chapter length, so after the short intro of chapter 1 the longest chapters were at the beginning and the shortest were at the end. It's amazing how the qur'an can be called the perfect book when it has this feature. If you did this with any other book it would not be published.

That is why most muslims will say "you don't know anything about Islam.... Islam is peacefull" While in reality, most of the first chapters came later on. Sura 9 the most violent of all is actually the most recent. "clerics" know this but do not share the info with their followers.

Either that or the muslims are practicing taqiyya, which I've encountered enough times to know that normal muslims use it. Failing that they either don't know or are in denial about it, and will say things like 'it says be horrible, but it no longer applies' or 'that was only about a specific situation' or 'any other standard apologetic bs.

Surah 9 was written during and after the deadly battles, yes a dark time in Islamic history, but please read it properly - in Surah 9 - verse 13 it says "Will you not fight the people who broke their oaths and aimed at the expulsion of the Messenger and they attacked you first.!"
"Fight the polytheists all together as they fought you all together".
What do you expect verses to say in war? "When they come and attack, SMILE and let them rid you entirely."
