I think you are right in one way and not in the other. Usually a CD has a concept behind which you can hear in all the "oficial" tracks but the bonus tracks normaly goes far away from the concept it can sound a lot different from the others. What i can think about this is that the band just wanted to put it instead of making THE B SIDE out of it hahaha

Usually I'd agree. But the Coldplay X&Y album threw in a song that is now one of my favorite Coldplay songs. It doesn't even say "Bonus Track," it just shows up. I think it's called "Til Kingdom Come."

What irriates be about the Bonus Track is that half the time you HAVE to listen to the last track on the disc in order to listen to the bonus song. So if you ever just want to listen to that one, you have to wait the 3-5 or however long the previous song is before you can hear it. One CD my friend has has 2 bonus tracks, I like the last one so I have to wait through two songs and half the time it gets switched to the first xD I'm like....fuck.

Some albums have Bonus tracks for reasons, I've seen in your other video you have Coheed and Cambria's "In keeping secrets of silent earth:3". The bonus track on that album-"21:13" adds more to the story the band use through all their albums! although it isnt nescasarry for the story, It just focuses on a character reflecting. So sometimes they just make stuff better!
