I love Stevia! I have a sweet tooth, and it completely satisfies me. It also is a natural appetite suppressant! So sweet and so many health benefits! Google & read all about it! It MUST BE MADE LEGAL AS A FOOD ADDITIVE!!!!
what makes us think they wont find cheap ways to produce STEVIA which will include all kinds of processing and chemicals and make it become the new sugar?
Hi guys, if you are looking for stevia check out cidbotanicals com we are having a sale and supply only Paraguayan stevia, non of that chinese gmo filled stuff you get in the mass market stevias. Also we don't use ethanol in the process of making stevia powder.
This video has given me great hope for mankind. To think, in the US, we consume something like 75g of sugar per day on average, and just over the border in Vancouver, there are people who have figured out how to smoke stevia. Seriously, though, great video, guys!
Stevia is a natural herb.Compared to Aspartame in sweetex etc which is so dangerous: When the temperature of this sweetener exceeds 86 degrees F, the wood alcohol in Aspartame converts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, which in turn causes metabolic acidosis. Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire ants. The methanol toxicity mimics, among other conditions, multiple sclerosis
Great Vid guys! Ive been using stevia for months now, it does taste very sweet. Great uses for: plain yogurt, tea, coffee, baking, oatmeal, peanutbutter, and better health. I think organic food companies need to ditch the "organic sugar" ingredients in their ice-creams, yogurts, dried fruits, foodbars and all and and start with stevia.
i just bought some stevia from g.n.c just to cut some sugar from my diet cause all these other substitutes were harmful based on my research and the stevia is great with some green tea in the morning...give it a try
Sugar makes you fat......stevia causes lots of problems(just what I read, and the rest of us a we really only know what we hear and see),and the phenylketoneurics of anything with asparatame or splenda(e i chlorine or not***not***) doesnt matte I know for a fact its bad for you as i got very very sick from drinking it a it evn makes me sick off a couple sips....so i think i will stick with sugar and get fat, less than get cancer and feel sick for god knows how long
please cite research conducted into the adverse effects of Stevia. FDA backed research are 3, all 3 were conducted on rats. One was in 1968, other in 1980, third in 2006. All 3 fed quantities of Stevia dozens of times higher then would be applied to for humans. Adverse effects were reduced fertility. Stevia has been legalised in Japan for the last 15 years, with no reports of any adverse effects.
Just my 2 cents off 30 mins reading up on the topic ;)
Inadequate research is worse than none at all. Splenda (sucralose) is CHLORINE! Look up the chemical composition! Most sugar is now made from Monsanto's GM sugar beets. Their agenda is to convert ALL the worlds agriculture to GMO's (mutant genes) and because people refuse to wake up, they WILL succeed! The elite don't care. They have organic seeds stashed away in their underground bunkers. Our food consumption is already dictated - and it will get even worse!
i like stievia ...love it....not allowed in eu .....what do you think why...??
you can sell it but not for eating...the eu sayes may be it makes cancer ...( lol....) but aspertam they allowed ...knowing it causes cancer......i take stevia....it is unvelivable good and healthy...thank you for posting stevia...!!! 5*
Still though...why IS stevia suddenly getting so much recognition?
I personally have noticed some effects of taking it. I began using stevia and my vision started getting worse. So, I figured that since the only I changed in my diet was adding stevia to it, I quit using it and went back to a little bit o honey.
Vision is back to where it used to be...A+.
So yes, I think there is some inherent issue with stevia that the bigwigs aren't telling us.
I don't know...Stevia is now getting just as popular as Splenda. Sends up red flags to me. I will stick to using honey to sweeten my herb teas. Since I have cut out processed snack foods and walk regularly, my sugar levels are controlled. BTW I am a diabetic.
I've enjoyed using stevia and I don't think there is a conspiracy. Stevia is available everywhere - there's about 4 different brands at my local grocery store taking up more space than sugar. There isn't a conspiracy. Stevia is not popular among some people because it has an aftertaste. Sugar does not cause diabetes, obesity does. Stevia is natural and I agree there are health risks to chemically synthesized sweeteners like aspartame, saccharin, and splenda, of which I have an allergy.
It's all true. I am diabetic, and without stevia, I'd maybe be dead. I dropped out of the Canadian Diabetic Association the day I observed in their newsletter a new food group - Sugars - and in the same issue, a full page ad for a chocolate bar. I should start growing my own, all right.
Stevia is GREAT stuff, but don't waste your time and effort trying to grow it from seeds. I DO GROW IT, but they don't do well from seeds. I'm not selling plants. But the way to grow it is from cuttings, get high quality plants (high levels of sweetness)and grow them from cuttings. They are not winter hardy plants, you need to have them in a heated greenhouse or bring them in the house over winter. One source is: Herbal Advantage, do a search, they have a website, and they're very helpful folks.
hey Travis, that gum you were chewing, most likely contained aspartame; a hundred times worse then sugar.
i'm with you stevia is great, but sugar is still okay compared to aspartame. aspartame is 100% chemical and very dangerous, people died of it. its in over 6000 products (worldwide), even in medicins and vitamins. so you better stop chewing gum, and check your vitamins!
I use Stevia now. I switched from sugar a few months ago and I've cut my sugar consumption drastically. It is the closest tasting thing to sugar I have found, yet it doesn't rot your teeth or affect your blood sugar levels. And it provides fiber in your diet to boot, all without artificial chemicals added.
This guy is slightly uninformed about sugar. Despite popular belief, sugar alone does not cause diabetes. It's having extra fat that causes diabetes. The fatter you are, and the longer you stay fat, the more insulin resistant you become.
splenda has CLORINE in it. Splenda was the result of research on incecticides/pesticides. Splenda is a compound mixture of sugar and CLORINE. Stevia is a natural herb and has no clorine in it. sugar in and of itself is not bad if it is the sugar found naturally in foods such as fruits and so on, but it is the sugar forms that have been processed through and corrupted by the companies that are harmful. Truth = our brains run on sugar. we should not completely remove natural sugar from our diet.
I so wonder if this will be one of the items Youtubes "Codex Alementarius" (video) will make illegal. Watch that video, its freaking shocking, they want to outlaw vitamins, naural herbs and bring back 7 of the 9 most lethal pesticides.
Monsanto (Nutrasweets maker) and FDA are in bed together (Monsantos lawyer in the FDA).
They are looking to make "profits" off of NEED items, just as Monsanto is buying up seed and patenting it, and watch "Patent for a pig". Look into these things.
Really?? Monsanto & FDA are in bed together?? I believe it. I believe canola oil is really genetically modified rapeseed do your research. And Monsanto did it! There's no such thing as a Canola Plant! It's not a blend of oils! But the FDA doesn't label Canola as GMO the label WHY NOT???
If you're an investor, you might want to check out Sunwin International Nutraceuticals (SUWN). They are a Chinese stevia producer that is expanding into North America. They are already experiencing a lot of demand for their products that will only increase once Coke & Cargill get the FDA to approve stevia as a sweetener.
research? it's all natural. 0 calories, 0 carbs, 0 glycemic, safe for diabetics, been around for years. "How do i know that_________?" you could ask that about anything. I guess you just have to try it on your own and have a little bit of faith.
What research? Who did the research? There is plenty of research that says Aspartame is safe as well adn we know how well that went. And I am trying it on my own...it does seem to have a strange sort of after effect that I can't quite put my finger on when I use over 3 or 4 packets at a time. Sorry, I don't fly on "faith" or priests when it comes to science.
to izeman458 - im sure you do fly on faith on some things...or maybe you do doubt everything. besides that...3 or 4 packets is WAY to much. Stevia is 30 times sweeter than sugar. you want to start with HALF a pack.
The research that suggests it's safe is that humans for centuries have been eating sweet leaf with no adverse effects. It's never been used as an insecticide, unlike Aspartame!
I love Stevia! I have a sweet tooth, and it completely satisfies me. It also is a natural appetite suppressant! So sweet and so many health benefits! Google & read all about it! It MUST BE MADE LEGAL AS A FOOD ADDITIVE!!!!

I appreciate that you U2 are trying to be helpful but I wonder what the real hidden agenda reads.
