What if you have virtual box running on your base OS, then another virtual box running withing that, and another one within that, how many virtual boxes will it take to crash your system, if you run so many OS's one inside the next, curious? Food for thought, perhaps?
Then after you are done with that, put the VDI file from your base OS and file shred it, so there are no remnants of anything.
Anyway, that is enough joking around, but seriously now, VirtualBox is great to test out new software
@yoshifannumba3 ...continuation... I really like using VirtualBox, I've used it on Windows XP, Seven, Linux Mint, & Ubuntu. It is much better than that VirtualPC by Micro$oft.
can you use all XP programs in it?! because my only consern with linux is the open office pack can't do enough for me. Mostly onenote. But that could solve my problem, because i use onenote maybe 1/3 of the time when im at school and i don't want to shut down and boot up in XP all the time.
which VirtualBox version r u using ?? none of the versions are for Mint...there is one version that says it is for all versions of Linux.. is that the one u use ?
Good Video! But, are you tried adobe flash, photoshop or that kind aplications? I'm gonna install Mint in my pc but i need to know that before. Thanks a lot from Venezuela. Escuse me for my bad english.
:'( when i install virtual box on my linux mint it work fine and i can install windows on it but if i restart my computer i just ger a white screen and i calnt use my computer :'( what can i do to make it work?
The problem with VB is in most cases its NOT the distro its the configuration of VB. I'll have to post a video responce later and show you XP w/SP3 running on Ubuntu (Dell 9300 Laptop)
Why should everything and "everyone" be compatible with windows? Windows systems don't care about other systems. Neither are they the best. Think about it.
Anyway, Linux is not for windows games. You can have 2 or more systems installed on your computer if you wish.
I had problems with SUSE in Ubuntu. Microsoft have made software to allow SUSE to be the parent OS it all part of the deal that they got. I got a copy of Linux Mint as home it is nice but I'm too stuck in my ways to leave Ubuntu.
Funny of you to mention your problems running VirtualBox in Ubuntu. I haven't had much success using Wine with it (seems to be some serious problems with the sound drivers for it). Think Linux Mint may do a better job?
Yes, absolutely. Part of the reason doing stuff in Ubuntu (like what's shown in the video) is a bit difficult is because of the lack of pre-bundled codecs, drivers and so on. Mint is debian-based like Ubuntu is so if you're familiar with Ubuntu, Mint will not seem odd to use at all. And it just seems to work a whole lot better.
Nice review

I'm not good at programming in Linux environment so I can't claim or state or tell they should or not.
If they could, they had done it I think.

You talking to me ssharps? The main problem I've been having w/ Wine in Ubuntu is that I never get any sound.

Hay, thanks for another great video. I'm just wondering if you could get your hands on a PS3 and show us something to do with Linux running on it.
