  • LOL, how much sand is in that shoe there, Alfonso?

  • I was giggling over this fake farewell like old trickery Alfonso, then next minute I was moved to tears by Soave Sia Il Vento. only mozart can do that.

  • I have to agree with lucy on this one. I'm performing the Soave trio in a concert this weekend, and the tempi are increasingly difficult to follow in this. Trying to sing along with Don Alfonso's solo line was particularly confusing. Otherwise it was great, though.

  • i say james levine

  • I'm so confused by some of these tempi... who's the conductor?

  • Maybe Martin Issep. I don't see this performance in discography list.

  • Did you HAVE to split "Ah scostati" and "Smanie implcabli" between two videos? It's very distracting.

  • What can I tell you? Don't watch it.

  • Now, no need to get testy there, elias. It's just a little pet peeve of mine, and does not detract greatly from the greatness of the whole. Obviously record producers have varying views on the way an opera should be split up, too. Thank you for posting this performance.

  • @elias12186 Thanks for taking the time to post this. I'm in a production right now and I all of us watch this version often!
