  • bruce has got so much style

  • I hope one day, Arcade Fire can be elligible to do the Super Bowl Halftime Show, that would be awesome.

  • Legend meets future legends! AWESOME!!!!

  • @davidsaidwords really no hard feelings here but watch the video of Arcade Fire playing Sprawl II on snl. On top of that, I know the classic rock scene is over but please don't take away the ability for up and coming musicians to become future legends. Experience, feeling and the moment are infinite therefore the depth of music is bottomless.

  • @davidsaidwords Springsteen has been over hyped through out the years. Yes Born To Run is the shit but that is really the only album that I dig of his. The River never hit me hard, well idk its got some good tunes on it though. Anywho, I can't count the number of classic rock artists more important, influential, ground breaking and all in all better than Bruce. He was good, lots of good tunes. But I'd rather have a jam session with countless other musicians before him.

  • @davidsaidwords your outlook on life is a phase

  • bruces voice is class here

  • Like God and Jesus singing together...

  • it was pretty obvious win didnt enjoy this much...

  • @RottenHamburger

Yeah right he just did it for his health

  • @allthewine what?

  • i like both there voices together they should have adjusted the levels differently tho

  • This song doesn't work as a duet. Should have done Dancing In The Dark instead.

  • Bruce playing with the young folks-U2 and Bowie have also played with them, cool,

  • 8 people wanted Eminem to win the Grammy

  • @turnoffthetv Eminem is actually a pretty good artist. Once you get his music and the mindset behind rap in general you'll appreciate him.

  • If this isn't ... hot. WTF is?

  • I really dig the band in this, but Win really gets in the way, in my opinion. Certain things need to be left to the BOSS!

  • @Dejital come on let's let the kids learn a thing or two)

  • Their voices work well together. Win's got a cool voice. So does Bruce. Good back and forth.

  • i kind of like how the voices rub against each other. its kind of cool.

  • Is this Arcade Fire AND The E Street Band? That's like 15 people. Really, that's enough to suffocate any song. This is one of Win Butler's all-time favorite songs, though, so this experience must have really blown his mind, even though he wasn't really adding anything.

  • @mikejensen79 it would be 17 people all in all :P not including the backing singers and brass players :P

  • This is SHIT.

  • @llanbo

    No

    ...

    YOU

  • no this song is still cool like this.

  • Comment removed

  • love both bands, but have to echo most everyone else here. nebraska, especially this song, is a desparate, lonely creative work that requires but one choked-up voice. doesn't do it for me.

  • Eh, no thanks. Nebraska is meant for one guy, one guitar, and one howl. Love both these guys, but this convinced me they're mutually exclusive...

  • Jeez Bruce sounds great hear and Win just adds to the awesomeness

  • arghhh... existential and Bruce in the same sentence? leave those kids alone...

  • I was there and it was awesome!! ;)

  • Just proves Arcade Fire wants to be Springsteen and the E Street Band

  • HEY. shut the fuck up. springsteen sang keep the car running with arcade fire. is there anything wrong with maybe the two best live artists of all time performing each other's songs with each other? NO. so don't jump to conclusions, dumbass.

  • I like that Bruce is singing this in a totally different way from the old record. He's still got it. Agreed, The Arcade Fire guy is kinda useless.

  • kinda loses it's existential edge played as a duet.

  • Agreed. The tension and fear are completely gone from this version; it feels kind of hollow.

  • Natokowsky: Totally agree. I enjoy Arcade Fire and I like The Boss. But as cool as it is to hear them rock this song out -- it does lose that dark "Nebraska" edge as a duet. Good observation. It turns from a lonely, haunting song into a jam out. Nothing wrong with it. It's just not great.

  • @Natokowsky what, are you a musical idiot? c'mon now.

  • I love both bands, but I don't like this.

  • and here we see the line between jersey trash and hipster is perilously thin ;) i think i'm a mixture of both.

  • @heaventree22 don't give in to the hipster madness! :O It's a disease! The disease of massive douchebags.

  • I hope this version pops up on the new tour, maybe with Steve handling the counter vocals and Bruce on the bullet mic.

  • Yes! My favorite version! damn it has to he the accordion!

  • "the other guy?" LOL

  • @gklown fuck you bitch Win fucks bruce out the water

  • @SilentEcho33 As a huge Arcade Fire fan, allow me to tell you how fucking wrong you are.

  • @gklown His name is Bruce :)

  • false.

  • Its not false, you just dont get it.. : )

  • The Dustin Kensrue cover is so awesome. Check him out!

  • Anyone who knows the original has to agree with you.

  • I was at this show...amazing...he did Tougher Than the Rest for the first time live in a long time!!!

  • I would of loved to have seen this in Montreal. State Trooper is one of my favorites and The Arcade Fire are from Montreal for god's sakes ! DAMN! :P

  • brilliant. i LOVE this.

  • Contrast, people. Contrast. Contrasts and subtlety. Nice version.

  • I'm diggin' the accordion! yeah! it was always cool; we just weren't hip enough to know.

  • I am 23 years old and live in The Netherland. Bruce have Hits on this time: Magic.

Bruce you are THE BOSS. Your music is for all times and for differend people.

    silence, I kill you (Markkko69)

  • my a/c is broken! omg. im on cam too lol!

stop fighting on youtube xD k7

  • I don't think you should call Bruce an unknown clown Mungling he had hits in the eightys maybe you're too young to remember

  • I'm pretty sure he was saying the guy from arcadefire is the unknown.... He's saying bruce could do better than them

  • I like the whole echoing feel of Win. We still echo Bruce, and are progressing with that style.

For me this is as good as if Joe Strummer were to play with Arcade Fire.

  • I'd actually like to see Arcade Fire perform Dancing in the Dark with Bruce Springsteen because that song is more related to the songs Arcade Fire does.

  • is that sarcasm?

    it's like the opposite

  • No, it's not sarcasm and they actually did Dancing in the Dark(just for fun). It's on you tube.

  • Yeah thats a bad version...i think you can have too much of a good thing, you know.

  • As a longtime Bruce fan, I think this version is fantastic. The vocals are brilliant - a great eerie, desolate feel. I especially love how Bruce has been reworking the Nebraska stuff over the past few years ala Devils tour rework of "Reason To Believe"

  • the voices don't match

  • steve earl does a better version

  • Wow Win is way off key holy shit

  • how could this classic song be turned into crap, insert some unknown clown. Bruce I know you're better than this. Don't get me wrong I am a HUGE fan.

  • Bruce used Arcade Fire to broaden his music amongst younger fans and also makes the Fire more popular by playing with the Boss. Although it is a very lifeless version of this song.

  • BRUCCCCEEEE!!!Such a good version!

  • It's been has stated that this song was inspired by the works of the punk duo "Suicide". As a fan of Suicide, I find myself agreeing.

  • Thats Win Butler, not Will

Amazing though... Why arent I Canadian???!?!?!

    xXx

  • Win Butler is actually from Texas. He went to collage in Canada.

  • i hear he got heavily involved in macrame in nova scotia too

  • I was there and I didn't know who this guy was! This song was really good but keep the car running was not really good! but it,s still good music!

  • The guy is Will Butler and up there is his wife Regine Chassagne from the band Arcade Fire. They're complete opposites basically when it comes to music.

  • His name is Win Butler. And when it comes to music, Arcade Fire are heavily influenced by Springsteen. Not trying to be rude man, just voicing my opinion.

  • I saw this in rolling stone magazine. Had to see it. I LOVE THE ARCADE FIRE! NEON BIBLE IS EASILY ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME! And with Springsteen, wow!

  • OH MY GOD

  • Very nice. Cool arrangement

  • wow awsome!!!!!!

  • What a combo!
