  • harper and the rest are all a lie vote independant vote no to

con, lib, ndp or any other propaganda party useing media to reach there agenda

    there all crooks

  • stephen harper is an extremely dangerous compromise....

  • now is this an over the top, unfair attack ad, I could have sworn only conservatives are suppose to make those

  • @yukoncornileus4 Actually, its the truth. Stephen Harper isn't some garden variety, well meaning, old fashioned Tory, who despite being a Tory, actually believes in the public good. Stephen Harper is a dangerous right wing extremist. Harper wanted us to fight in Iraq, he scuttled the Kyoto Accord, he cut funding to medical clinics in Africa that help women with ghastly, leaking fistulas--in case those clinics should also perform abortions. UNLIKE TORY ADS, EVERYTHING IN THIS AD CAME TRUE.

  • @mightymissk It is funny what makes an extremist these days if your a Muslim iman who wants to kill all homosexuals you can lecture at any university no problem. But if you have any issue with killing the unborn you must be a crazy radical. I didn't know we had aircraft carriers

  • @yukoncornileus4 I made no mention of aircraft carriers. Nor did I mention extremist imams who call for the killing of gays. I assume you bring it up as a smear. However Harper IS A right wing extremist. Google Firewall Around Alberta. Harper kick started his political career by embracing Western separatists. He infamously called for a "firewall" around Alberta--separation from the rest of Canada. Harper is a woman-hater

  • @mightymissk Are Quebec separatists extremists, are all the Bloc Quebecois extremists, something tells me for you that is a term reserved just for Albertans. The liberal government spewed hate towards us, and sought to destroy us, or at least keep us down, punish us, the creep Chretien had a most memorable "i don't like those Albertans" speech, too crowds of cheering Liberals. Us trying to protect ourselves in any way we could is extremist ????

  • @yukoncornileus4 What "hate" did the federal government spew at Alberta? Cite your source. I've never heard Mr Chretien put down any part of Canada. As for the Bloc, they want to leave Canada. In all other ways, they're just like us. They love universal health care, hockey & maple syrup. Western separatists, on the other hand, seem to hate Canada BECAUSE we have social programs and universal health care. At least Harper said so in his infamous FIREWALL AROUND ALBERTA SPEECH. You thrive on hate.

  • @mightymissk I want less hate in Canada that is why I am glad the Liberals are gone. They have a long list of people they hate, Americans, Christians, Albertans, any one who feels kinship with North American "western culture" ie wearing a redneck cowboy hat, hell anyone who dare disagree with them, as you are pointing out over and over.

Only a socialist is a real Canadian, now you are mixing nationalism with your socialism, that didn't work out so well for Germany, be careful with that.

  • @yukoncornileus4 Show me evidence that Liberals hate Americans, Christians & Albertans. Nonsense. And I have never scorned cowboys or their hats. In fact, the only real regional hostility I have ever encountered is from Conservatives who seem to hate people from Ontario. And THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF CANADIANS--IN EVERY POLL--SUPPORT OUR SOCIALIST HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. So yeah, when you heap contempt on our socialist institutions, you are in fact unCanadian. It's you Tories that despise Canada.

  • @mightymissk Dissent is patriotic, I am what democracy looks like, you sound like a bone headed American redneck," if you don't love America you pinko than go live in Russia," just in reverse. Your hatred for democracy is disgusting, not surprising, but disgusting. Your ideology is not Canadian ideology, I know that is hard for you to believe.

    Yeah the left loves Christians

I'm glad you don't scorn cowboy hats.

Notice how I never name call, try it.

  • @yukoncornileus4 You didn't offer a dissenting opinion. You accused the Liberal party of Canada of "hating" Americans, Christians & Albertans. I asked you to cite your source. You did not. You agreed with Harper that "Canada is a second rate socialist country." I said you Tories are clearly the ones who despise Canada & if you don't like our socialist health care you can go to the States. And Tories are actually anti-Christian. You can't hate poor people and be a Christian. You just can't.

  • @mightymissk You would have me exiled for my political beliefs. I don't hate the poor I just want more freedom and choice for everyone. I love my country I just want it to be better. For some one who rallies against hate you sure spew alot of it.

Carolyn Parish "hate those American bastards"

Stockwell Day was villified for being a Christian

Hedy Fry imagined burning crosses in BC

Jean the creep Chretien "I don't like those Albertans

  • @yukoncornileus4 Where did I say I would have you "exiled" for your political beliefs? Have you no shame? You despise the great socialist institution that is our health care system. You would undermine the Canada Health Act.. That would end any "choice" for those of us can't t pay huge medical bills. Chance musings by disparate MPs mean nothing & STOCKWELL DAY IS NOT CHRISTIAN. And you have a lot of gall. You use personal attacks for days on end--and accuse ME of hatefulness? Tory hypocrite.

  • Respond to this video..."You know I don't like those Albertans " Jean Chretien 2000 in a speech to cheering Ontario Liberals. Worked them up to a hate filled frenzy. They would try to put region against region, the Kyoto accord, southern Ontario was exempt, only Western Canada was to suffer. Even Dion's green shift was to punish Alberta. They constantly held up Albertans and Ralph Klein as all that was wrong with Canada, un-Canadian, enemies of the people.

  • @yukoncornileus4 Chretien has an irrepressible sense of humor. You've clearly taken something the man said in a speech & either misquoted him or quoted him out of context. Cite your source. And it is shameful that Harper scuttled the Kyoto Accord & blocked progress in the fight against climate change. We lost our good name in the world because Harper is a conservative fanatic. And the Green Shift was a NATIONAL PROGRAM which was brilliant. It would have tied carbon output to the free market.

  • @mightymissk Green shift would have punished Alberta far more than the rest of the country. Which was by design. Punishing at the source. This winter is sure evidence of global warming

  • @yukoncornileus4 The Green Shift was brilliant. A radical reduction in income tax, followed by a phasing in of a carbon tax. Tie carbon output to the market. Other countries would have followed. It would have impacted ordinary Canadians the same way. Alberta oil company executives might have made a bit less money. But they wouldn't be lining up at food banks--they still get subsidies from taxpayers, especially in Alberta. We could have begun to reverse globalization. Get jobs back in Canada.

  • @yukoncornileus4 And your caterwauling about poor, persecuted Alberta is getting a bit sickening. Either show credible evidence that the previous government was engaged in "punishing" Alberta, or quit your bitching. Or maybe not. Keep bitching. Show people what the Tories are really about. Pitting Canadians from different regions against each other. You'd like us all to hate and distrust each other.

  • @mightymissk I'm sure you are sick of Albertans, you would destroy us and call it progressive, then wonder why there was some anti-Ontario resentment.

Under the Conservatives we are more united of a country than ever before, and that pleases me more than anything. To see Harper winning seats in Toronto warms my heart, and that there are like minded people from coast to coast to coast. God Bless Canada everyone, the Liberal forces of darkness can be beaten. Don't forget the Decade of Darkness.

  • @yukoncornileus4 I HAVE NEVER PUT ALBERTANS DOWN. EVER. And UNTIL HARPER, Quebec separatism was on the wane. The fight waged by the LIberals to get us the Clarity Act meant that BY LAW--a separation referendum had to be about separation--not some "sovereignty association" crap--AND THE SEPARATISTS BACKED DOWN. But Harper's willingness to whip up anti-French feeling by screaming "separatists & socialists" to attack the Opposition parties, that's changing things. Your Harper is the real darkness.

  • @yukoncornileus4 A woman hater whose arbitrary decision to cut funding to African medical clinics that do abortions, will literally cause misery & premature deaths. The clinics mainly treat fistulas--childbirth injuries which cause urinary incontinence. A relatively minor operation can give these African Moms their lives back. But Harper, the misogynist is against abortion SO HE CUT FUNDING TO THOSE CLINICS. And I'm quite proud to be radical about saving women's lives. And about fighting Tories.

  • @mightymissk Women hating ??? Conservatives believe rape is a serious offense, Liberals, the sicko Alan Rock put in house arrest as punishment for rape, house arrest, sitting at home watching sick porn on the internet, punishment for rape. Is that ok for you. Liberals changed the term violent rape to " sexual assault causing bodily harm" just to soften it, I'm sure victims appreciate this. Conservatives signed a treaty to fight sexual trafficking that the Liberals wouldn't, too tough on pimps

  • @yukoncornileus4 Yes woman-hating. Harper closed 12 out of 16 Status of Women Canada offices, cut funding to women's programs, canceled the proposed national child care program, announced, contemptuously that they would build no social housing, and perhaps most appallingly--canceled the Court Challenges Program, whereby ordinary citizens were once able to take the government to court. And that's before we start talking about cutting funding to African women's clinics. Yeah. Harper hates women.

  • @mightymissk The Status of Women offices, and the Court Challenges Program promoted a far left feminist agenda that is simply out of touch with the majority of Canadian women. Case in point no on cared when he canceled them. The last place the vast majority of Canadians would want to put their children is in government daycare, Harper didn't cancel it Canadians did by voting against it. I really hope the Liberals run on it again. Social housing is provincial.

  • @yukoncornileus4 Most Canadian women are like most Canadian men--stressed out & overworked. Many are turned off to politics. But when I tell women what Harper has done to womens programs, they get quite upset. And male or female--I find most don't actually know that the Court Challenges Program is gone. And that without it, our Charter of Rights & Freedoms might as well be a pretty piece of paper hanging in on a wall. Because now ordinary people won't be able to afford a court challenge.

  • @yukoncornileus4 Status of Women is unabashedly feminist & bravo to them! They represent the vast majority of Canadian women who want things like a national daycare program & public housing. Who want bang for our tax buck. Not fighter jets no other country wants that cost 29 BILLION dollars. Us feminist Canadian gals want shelter & food security & good educations for the kids. Harper the woman hater takes advice from REAL women, who are militantly anti-abortion. I call them Ladies Against Women.

  • @mightymissk National day care ruins children, most women would want to stay at home with their children, or have a family member take care of them, of the neighbor lady, anything but institutional government day care. European countries that have gone in this direction are pulling be due to the extreme destruction they cause. Much higher levels of mental illness, and anti-social behavior come from nationalizing children

  • @yukoncornileus4 So you're just not going to bother responding to my rebuttals? Just change the subject? You know what "ruins" children and their families? Poverty. Grinding poverty. Not having money to buy milk for the kids. You clearly have never been there. Women need jobs, so women need day care. Period. Lots of us would like to have stayed home--but wages have been stagnant for 30 years & families usually need 2 incomes. What we don't need is lectures from conservatives who put women down.

  • @mightymissk The biggest reason families need two incomes in the insane increase in taxes

  • @yukoncornileus4 You must be a yuppie to say something so ridiculous. I'm talking to some Tory yuppie from another world. Why am I even trying to talk to you? Most people live paycheque to paycheque because wages are so low. And you know what? If you don't have the balls to finish a debate--if you can't answer my rebuttals or this question--HOW CAN YOU ADVOCATE LEGALIZING POT--AND VOTE FOR HARPER? -- then to hell with it. I just finished telling somebody you were honest for a Tory. I was wrong.

  • @mightymissk I am an electrician, and when I am working 60 - 70 hours a week in the cold of Fort McMurray, 60 feet in the air on cold steel at -40 C I barely get to keep half of what I earn, feel like a damn slave, you want to fight greed fight government greed, they have unquenchable thirst, regardless of the party. How high do you think taxes can go.

You I have noticed most socialists barely work 40 hours per week

  • @yukoncornileus4 You've noticed "most socialists work barely 40 hours a week." have you. To hell with you. I make 11 dollars an hour, work every hour I can get & I'm proud to pay my taxes. Nobody likes taxes, but we need them. AND YOU ARE STILL OVERTAXED UNDER HARPER. Somebody has to make up the short fall for Harper's huge new corporate tax cuts. It will be you & me that pay. And I'm an electrician's daughter. My Dad taught me that Tories are the ENEMY OF TH E WORKING MAN. Long live the IBEW!

  • @mightymissk Under all of our beloved universal social programs you pay so the RICH can have healthcare, old age pension, and now the Iggy wants you to pay so some poor little rich kid can have $ 1000 dollars of University. Corporate tax break create jobs.

Layton just announced a new war on the Alberta OIlsands, would any politician any where in the country go to war or even say anything negative about any other industry any where else in the country, this is the hate I speak of, Hatemongers !

  • @yukoncornileus4 How does having access to universal health care translate into a bad thing? How can you say its just "so the RICH can have health care." That makes no sense. I'd be blind without our socialist system. I had uveaitis--came THAT CLOSE to having both retinas detach. Thousands were spent on a cocktail of steroids that saved my eyes. In the States I would have lost my sight. And all kids with the grades should be able to go to college or university. Ignatieff is absolutely right.

  • @mightymissk If we didn't have such a strict so called one tier health care system, something no other country has in the world, ok if you want to mention North Korea go ahead, you would not have to pay for the rich, the rich could pay for themselves, and take themselves out of the waiting list. That doesn't mean you get turned away if you can't pay. We send many people who have had your condition to the US because we can't treat them fast enough.

Rich kids can pay for themselves. Means test

  • @yukoncornileus4 You compare our health care system to that of North Korea. Even for a Tory, that's a flight of right wing fantasy. In the States, 45,000 people a year--DIE--because they can't pay catastrophic medical bills. They are allowed to die. In US hospital emergency rooms, people who no private insurance, or with inadequate insurance are called GOMERS--Get Out of My Emergency Room. One in four American families goes bankrupt from medical bills. And you can shove your "mean's test."

  • @yukoncornileus4 And what "war" on the Alberta tar sands has Layton announced? What comment have you taken and run with? But since you bring it up, the Alberta tar sands should be shut down. They're an ecological disaster. They will make a wasteland of northern Alberta. And saying that doesn't make me a "hatemonger" even if you take umbrage with my position. It makes me a realist. The tar sands will ruin the north. You can get your shorts in a knot about it, but that's the truth.

  • @mightymissk Layton would shut it all down in a heart beat. Why don't we ever hear about shutting down all the industry in southern Ontario for what they have done to the Great Lakes, or what hydro electric has done to northern Quebec, the reason......hate. The oilsands are getting cleaner all the time, and contributes billions to the rest of Canada. A realist, where do we get money for social programs without this. Most thinking Canadians realize this, a new Quebec poll proves they do.

  • @yukoncornileus4 I would shut it down too. You didn't address the fact that the tar sands will make a wasteland of northern Alberta. You just ignored it. And ALL industry should face stringent pollution controls. This is the only planet we have. If we kill it, we die too. And what is this crap about "hate" for Alberta? I have never met anybody who hates Alberta. We are all Canadians, all of us together. You Tories seem to be rage addicts. You thrive on divisiveness & the politics of resentment.

  • @mightymissk There is only one province that either the Liberals or NDP will say they will 'shut down', 'get', 'end this or that', 'tax more' , bash in any way. That is Alberta, the whipping boy of confederation. They just can't resist, Layton did it again in Quebec the other day. They kiss ass everywhere else. They promote regional hate. You just don't see it because you are not on the hit list, or just you see it as normal. Conservatives bash no province of region.

  • @yukoncornileus4 Cite your source. Show me where the Liberals or the NDP bashed Alberta. I need some context. The only "regional hate" I've seen is from Western separatists & that's the truth. But I see Tories turn Canadians against each other all the time. They really seem to be enamored of waging war against unions and against mothers on welfare. But gay people will do in a pinch. Or artists. Or immigrants. Or just people from Toronto. Its one of the main reasons I believe Harper is evil.

  • @mightymissk Alberta has the highest environmental standards of any major oil producing region. As a feminist you would rather buy your oil from a region like the Middle East where women have no rights at all, and they rabidly export their ideology all over the world, is that really progressive, does that really make for a better world. Say no to Saudi Imperialism

  • @yukoncornileus4 "Environmental standards?" It's a mess! And when the oil companies are done they will leave a wasteland. The traditional lands of the northern Cree and others will be despoiled for a thousand years. And don't you tell me where I "as a feminist" want to buy my oil. Why is it always an EITHER/OR argument with Tories? You set up a false dichotomy. It's not EITHER dirty tar sands oil OR oil from the Saudis. We could be developing solar power, wind power & thermal. But Harper won't.

  • @yukoncornileus4 Now to Alan Rock, the great parliamentarian you accuse of trying to "soften" sexual assault laws. Rock opposed a private member's bill which would have made it possible for rapists to get lighter sentences if they were "intoxicated." He argued that drunk rapists should not get a "discount" on their sentence. He was backed by every women's group in Canada. And "rape" was "changed" to "sexual assault" to catch MORE sexual predators--who were getting off in court. You use slander.

  • @mightymissk Allen Rock put in house arrest as an acceptable punishment for rape, because of the left-lib mindset in this country it is routine that a violent rapist sentenced to say nine years in prison will be out on unescorted day trips after only 16 months, and full parole shortly after. I love women and I believe Canadian women deserve better. We routinely release child killers back into society as well, Liberals say they are so pro-women they sure don't mean it where it counts the most.

  • @yukoncornileus4 Another personal attack on Mr Rock. Now you suggest he's soft on rapists. Yeah right. Cite your source. And I don't believe ANY Tory loves women. All the evidence suggests the opposite. You cut women's programs, you're against freedom of choice, or Harper certainly is, and your party has pointedly ignored the latest report on poverty--an issue of vital importance to women. What Tories really want is to undermine judicial independence. You want mandatory sentences--not justice.

  • @mightymissk In Canada house arrest was made an acceptable punishment for rape, this was done under Alan Rocks watch.....there are no two ways about it.

In Canada you can legally have an abortion being 8 1/2 months pregnant, are you ok with this ?

I want our "legal" system turned back into a "justice" system, me and most Canadians.

  • @yukoncornileus4 Cite your source, or I will assume that, again, you slander a good man & fine parliamentarian. As far as I know Mr Rock has sterling reputation. And I'm tired of doing your homework. Show me what, precisely it is you've taken out of context this time. Put up or shut up. As to your alleged "love" of women. Talk is cheap. Women's shelters aren't. You can talk til your lips bleed. I've seen what happens to poor people when the Tories get in. You use us for scapegoats. You hate us.

  • @mightymissk Alan Rock was also instrumental in stopping Ann Coulter from speaking at the University of Ottawa, he was behind her being threaten with prosecution, and behind the mob that would have torn her apart, along with his many other sick traits he hates free speech. Of coarse I can well imagine what you think of Ann Coulter, but I can tell you I support free speech even if I don't agree with it. Do you ?

War on capitalism does not help the poor, quite the opposite.

  • @yukoncornileus4 You really have it in for Allan Rock eh? Cite your source or I don't care. And you were truly worried about Ann Coulter? That snarling Nazi in a miniskirt? You really thought she was in danger from a bunch of kids with nose-piercings? Half of them don't eat meat or even dairy products. Hell I could take 'em. Nonsense. And what is this crap about "a war on capitalism" not helping the poor? What war on capitalism? Last time I checked, it was capitalists who seem to hate the poor.

  • @mightymissk Capitalists want people to have money and not keep them poor, and the system accomplishes this quite well, just look at Asia

Conservative speakers all need security at Universities, even the most sicko leftist or Islamic freak never needs any, that alone speaks volumes of the character of the people

    Nazis were National Socialists.....therefore socialsts

  • @yukoncornileus4 On the contrary. Capitalists lobby constantly for more & more arbitrary power & the overwhelming evidence is that unless they are regulated capitalists will work people to death at starvation wages. Look at Asia. And lots of speakers need security at universities--not just poor persecuted right wing pundits. The great radical feminist Andrea Dworkin had constant security at public venues. And whatever the terminology--Nazis weren't socialists. That is intellectually dishonest.

  • Yeah that was awesome how Paul Martin gutted healthcare by 34% overnight to balance the budget.

    Please.

  • wow, that not very canadian librals..... maybe we all need to work together and not f**k up are country.... or just have another libral scandal what ever works for you.....

  • @MrMoslow Yeah or put the money into something that would be invested int he country.

  • therealnick1013: "Who was Prime Minister when 2% of our GST was cut, but at the expense that our surplus has been squashed, and that economic developments were cut?"

Who was the PM who got us a historic $50 billion deficit? I would usually LOL, but it's not funny anymore...

  • Just out of curiosity...

Thumb this comment down if you support the Conservative Party Of Canada.

Thumb this comment up if you support any other party EXCEPT the Conservative Party Of Canada.

(I want to see if anybody agrees with me when I say I'd vote Anything But Conservative.)

  • Stephen Harper is the worst thing to happen to Canada since Brian Mulroney.

This ad couldn't be more than accurate, with Harper selling out our country to the United States.

And it's not just this video, but also the economy. The Liberals did a good job erasing the huge deficit Brian Mulroney left behind, providing a nine billion dollar surplus ---- which Harper completely wiped out in two years. Under the Conservatives our economy is in a terrible position.

  • wow you couldn't be more wrong, you could try, but you would not be succesful, has stephen harper put troops in iraq? NO! has stephen harper changed health care policies for the worse? No! THE FACT IS OUR HEALTHCARE IS FUCKED, rich people can't use their money to get health plans that would help them, so they go to the states for operations that would be months wait here, he cuts gst by 2% and the liberals bash him for being a george bush, its fucking retarded how everything the liberalssaywebuy

  • Ah, yes, another one who blames the Liberals for EVERYTHING....

Here are questions for you: Who was the Prime Minister that did nothing to try to stop the Listeriosis outbreak because of Maple Leaf foods?

Who was Prime Minister when he said that health care is a provincial problem?

Who was Prime Minister when 2% of our GST was cut, but at the expense that our surplus has been squashed, and that economic developments were cut?

I DARE you to say Stephane Dion.

  • WTF r u talking about? i live in oakville now and i lived in toronto? my dad got his hip replcaed in a matter of weeks. if our healthcare is fucked then explain why canadians can expect to live three years older than the average American? think before you say shit, Americas healthcare sysem is one of the worst in the world! and they wonder why there life expectance is lower than some third world countrys.

  • i thought this was about Stephen harper

  • lol sup kurt. This is about Stephen Harper.

  • yeah but the tree oak guy is talking about america

  • lol ya he's just pretty random I guess^^

  • @therealnick103 You lost bitches. Enjoy the new Canada. You suck, we rule. Conservatives united.

  • @KevinDolin dam strait :D. funny thing is if Canada did buy aircraft carriers, lets say oooo the UK queen Elizabeth class, or even better design our own, it would create thousands of jobs, in ship design, ship yards for the construction and maintenance plus he 1600 to crew the ship, on top of tall those technical jobs canada would now have a shipyard to compete with other shipyards to build mega ships. Also can deliver aid to any country that needs it in a unmatched amount.

  • @KevinDolin they can also put pressure on fucked up dictators by skimming the carrier near their waters if their naughty lets not forget it can kick ass if need be. Canada has the responsibility to add one carrier to the whole of NATO, our economy is strong enough, its time to stop relying on the Americans when shit goes wrong in the world.

  • fuck the liberals i dont wana marry a sheep when i grow up.

  • Go to: Visit: Watch: Share:

  • The tories are selling out our country to the states. The librals have the same goal with the spp. NDP will put an end to it. I personaly like the green party but they are no where near winning an election. Charlie Angus will fight for net neutrality as well.

Take a step back canadians and look at the issues. Do not look at pritty adds. Do not look at who can slander the other better. I presonaly am voting NDP.

  • Yeah, wasn't Harper a western seperatist at one point? Whatever the case, the guy was a Reform MP and an American-style republican. Yet he makes himself out to be a Canadian patriot so concerned about our soldiers. Ridiculous.

  • "KenGS333":

Stephen Harper wasn't even a Conservative at first. He was once the leader of the Canadian Alliance, believe it or not.

  • I know. He actually used to be a Liberal before he joined the Reform Party... The CPC is nothing more than the Reform/CA Parties in blue. Very frightening if they would have got a majority.

  • Lol but that was the "Young Liberals" , wasn't it?

  • I voted for Harper in the last election... you know what, this ad was unfortunately correct. He doesn't have my vote this time around... I can admit I made a mistake, hopefully others will too.

  • im with subfloorjoist fuck the liberals.

  • Reality has a liberal bias

  • @SuperJesus316.

    laws of nature are conservative.

  • I'm pretty sure we arn't in Iraq.

The country isn't lieing in ruins (like the USA, yeah i went there) Harper is better than spending the next decade with more liberals and their bullshit. How do people still vote for the liberals?

  • I'm happy with all those things. Stephen Harper is the Greates Prime Minister Canada has ever seen. I support all the things that the bitch in the video mentioned.

  • and socialism is a bad thing?

  • to start learning about the money we make from the east on drugs...of course we start with the "opium wars" of 1839-1844. Eye opening stuff. At least in those days we called a war what it really was. Afghanistan is obviously about opium too. Brit aristocrats, as well as the Russells and the Cabot American aristocrats, became rich enslaving millions of people on opium. The most watched movie in the world is a Chinese flic called "the opium wars", but you won't find a copy in North America.

  • Bullshit! The asians have been smoking opium for millenia! Next you'll be trying to tell us that hemp and cocaine were only discovered when wealthy white men needed control over the masses.

  • my comment is: crime rate is lower in quebec. why? because the wealth is shared more evenly. Ok, our system is far from perfect. But weakening gun laws? scrapping an international accord SIGNED? selling all alberta's petrol to the US for a ridiculous price - forever - so they don't need to invade? I mean, hey, this government is not Canadian. This government is Business. Please someone tell me, is neoliberalism frightening for Canadians? Or do they like it?

  • Crime rate is lower in Quebec yet a cursory glance at prison incarcerations shows a majority of francophones...

  • This video is made of lies... Canada never goes in Irak, gun control continues, our health care system wasn't substitute by a US-like system and abortion continues to be legal... And, the Conservative works together with the Bloc Québécois (Liberal are unable to do this) and, because of that, the country didn't waste 300 millions $ for a new election (each federal election cost 300 millions $!!).

  • Irregardless of what weak minded people like icemakk say, this video was pretty much on the money. Substitute Afghanistan for Iraq, however and the video claims are not far off the mark.

  • what a load of bullshit from the liars who brought us waste, adscam, lack of action on the environment, increased crime and all the other things the LIEberals are good at.

  • apparently Bloc is Harper's best frnd now...two budget passed with bloc's help, quebecois as a nation, scrapping kyoto accord, attempt to buy votes in quebec.

  • The liberals just couldnt get anything done with the friggin media blaming the first person in sight goddarn harper and his scary face. hes so backwards. isnt canada supposed to be going forward? teachings of old that were written by men anyways

  • this ad is nothing but pure b/s. this shows how liberals have no idea what the conservatives are up to, they actually get things done

  • Yea but the Constitution Act of 1982 IS Literally the British North America Act of 1867. It was a significant and symbolic event but it didn't "suddenly make Canada a country or give us sovereignty or establish Canadian nationalism" like the <PierreElliotTrudeau> user in here asserts.

  • "When the peace talks were held at Versailles in 1919, Canada had its own representative. When the League of Nations was formed shortly thereafter, Canada had its own seat, and in 1931, Canada gained its final and complete independence from the United Kingdom when the Statute of Westminster gave it complete control over its own foreign affairs."

  • "When the war ended, Canada's position in the world had changed irrevocably. It was now more than just a colony. It was one of the major contributors to the allied victory."

  • "Brigadier-General Alexander Ross was a battalion commander at Vimy, and later recounted his feelings as he watched the Canadian troops advance that morning: "It was Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific on parade. I thought then...that in those few minutes I witnessed the birth of a nation." Many others who were there would agree."

  • "Vimy Ridge remained firmly in allied hands for the rest of the war. The Canadians went on to other battles and victories such as Amiens and Canal du Nord, but it was Vimy that cemented their reputation as outstanding soldiers. It also was a turning point in their self-image. Many Canadians had joined up to aid the mother country. But as the war went on, they became more and more conscious of being Canadian. This seemed to crystallize on Vimy Ridge."

  • ...and if this ad was true, they wouldn't have taken it off the air...

  • Liberals took a huge step to the left electing Celine Dion as leader. They're more socialist now than ever. They're policies are unimaginative, they are not practical, and they don't take advantage of the free market. Liberals' solution to everything is just to increase taxes and throw that money at any new problem that threatens to dethrone them. The Conservatives in comparison are a breath of fresh air.

  • That's right.

    NDP = socialist

Liberals = socialist-light (but not far off)

  • not far off especially now. Honestly, Dion in no way deserves to be PM, he can only run on one issue - the environment, and he has no credibility on the environment issue.

  • I met Stephen Harper once. I didn't think he was so bad... for a complete idiot.

  • Oh wow.. the add is quite true. So the Libbie's were right on those notes. Then again I've become so dis-illusioned with Canadian political parties. Neither truly is listening to the Middle Class. Stephen Harper is an idiot, but so was Paul Martin.

  • yea right buddy, you've become disillusioned with canadian political parties but your name here in PET?? gimme a break, you're a stinking leftie!

  • Nope.. I'm pragmatic. My name is PET for the simple reason that he gave Canada an identity and a place in this world. Before PET Canada was nothing more then a British Colony. I challenge you to prove that I am a leftie as you say. PS. Since when is being more Liberal then Conservative an insult, I mean Jesus was a Liberal?

  • EX-FUCKIN-CUSE ME! It was Canadian Soldiers on the Battlefields of Europe in WWI, at Vimy, Flanders, Paschendale, The Somme, Ypres, and other hell on earth places that won major battles of the war and gave Canada a sense of Nationalism and Pride. World War One defined Canada as a Nation, a "grown up country" instead of just Britain's Dominion. Why the FUCK would you even try to credit PET with giving Canada its identity?, you stupid fuckin' liberal!!

  • Jesus would have opposed abortion.. not so much same sex marriage though as he's never said anything to the effect. (the bible does but not Jesus). for they shall be called the children of God. [Matthew 5:9] Resist

not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. [Matthew 5:39] I say unto you, Love your

enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despite-fully use you, and persecute

    you; [Matthew 5:44]

  • Constitutional Achievements:

John A. Macdonald co-authored the British North America Act of 1867.

Robert Borden, Mackenzie King and R. B. Bennett all took part in negotiations that led to the 1931 Statute of Westminster giving Canada autonomy from Britain.

In 1982, Pierre Trudeau patriated the Constitution from Britain.

The Constitution Act was signed by Queen Elizabeth II in a special ceremony on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, April 17, 1982.

  • Jesus would have been a Conservative dude, he would have opposed both abortion and same-sex marriage. You stupid fuckin'liberal!

  • Wow.. you're not bright at all. Did you go to school? Canada was viewed as nothing more then a british colony ever after both major world wars. It wasn't until 1967 that we started to get a sense of our own identity. PET then ensured that the Canadian constitution became Canadian property in the 80's. Before then only the British could make changes to our constitution.. in essence we weren't a country. Go to school dude!

  • @PierreElliottTrudeau oh my God you took that assholes name as your youtube handle, that's fucked up dude, how can you love any sleazy politician that much

  • he would have opposed to the bush administration...

  • Jesus on Paying Taxes & Separation of Church & State: Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the

things that are God's. [Matthew 22:21]<-- Liberal. Community: Love your neighbor as yourself. .[Matthew 22:39] So in everything, do to others as you would have them do to you.

[Matthew 7:12.] If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven.

    [Matthew 19:21] <-- Liberal

  • Give to the Poor - not your buddies in the Liberal sponsorship scandal. Jesus didn't play politics. Jesus was only a liberal (freethinking) because he stood up again the political/spiritual leadership of the day.

  • @jfast8.

liberal used to be a noble word. not so much anymore.

  • Interesting how you edited out the muzzle flash from the gun being fired at the viewer...

  • OH MY GOD...WE'VE ELECTED HITLER...Just joking..Liberals as such losers..HARPER FOR MAJORITY!!!

  • it was right? i guess you missed the week stephen harper vowed to keep healthcare publicly funded and his intent to uphold the canada health act. but you guys love fear mongering, so i guess the ad was right.
