It would have impacted ordinary Canadians the same way. Alberta oil company executives might have made a bit less money. But they wouldn't be lining up at food banks--they still get subsidies from taxpayers, especially in Alberta. We could have begun to reverse globalization. Get jobs back in Canada.

And that's before we start talking about cutting funding to African women's clinics. Yeah. Harper hates women.
