A brief summary: Dreamworks nicked the idea from Disney and made the film faster than Pixar did

This is one of the most twisted computer animated movies so far, considering the underlying adult themes and dark symbols such as war, totalitarianism, conformism, and most of all, revolution and rebellion.

Even though overall i prefer PIXAR movies i think antz is better than a bugs life,(bugs life is a good movie though) I found it more funny, i liked the story and i think its because it represents ants/insects in a more familiar (dare i say realistic?) way, like this is how i would imagine a colony to run instead of in ABL where they all know each other , the battle scene was awsome as well, i mean other than shrek and kung fu panda dreamswors hasnt done anyhtign really remarkable
my favorite part of this movie is when all the workers realize they don't have to work and the enforcer dude says get back to work and one of the guy goes "why" and a rambling guy runs past yelling that they don't have to work etc. who else has a favorite part?
I do prefer A Bug's Life (more accessible for kids doesn't equal blander. It's just written and directed better on the whole). This film is pretty good, but the political stuff is a little too clunky on occasion.
Interesting to note though that as Pixar have matured slightly in their handling of themes, DreamWorks have slipped the other way. Antz was a good start, and the first Shrek was an instant classic. But since, nothing has been on anything like the same level as the Lamp.
A Bug's Life is a better story, this is just plain creepy.

I watched this when I was REALLY little and it scared me so bad. This movie is definitely for an older audience than for little kids...

oh yeah! lol! i usually like the bad guy and he was bad and then he turned good! so i got both lol even if CW wasn't playing cutter i would still like his character. =D

Even though overall i prefer PIXAR movies i think antz is better than a bugs life,(bugs life is a good movie though) I found it more funny, i liked the story and i think its because it represents ants/insects in a more familiar (dare i say realistic?) way, like this is how i would imagine a colony to run instead of in ABL where they all know each other , the battle scene was awsome as well, i mean other than shrek and kung fu panda dreamswors hasnt done anyhtign really remarkable

my favorite part of this movie is when all the workers realize they don't have to work and the enforcer dude says get back to work and one of the guy goes "why" and a rambling guy runs past yelling that they don't have to work etc. who else has a favorite part?

I do prefer A Bug's Life (more accessible for kids doesn't equal blander. It's just written and directed better on the whole). This film is pretty good, but the political stuff is a little too clunky on occasion.
Interesting to note though that as Pixar have matured slightly in their handling of themes, DreamWorks have slipped the other way. Antz was a good start, and the first Shrek was an instant classic. But since, nothing has been on anything like the same level as the Lamp.
