Hey i bought Fallout 3 today and i find it boring. The graphics aren't that good and the game itself and the stroyline are tedious. The reason that te combat is so easy is because he has ridiculously good weapons in a very low level area. The main reason it is easy though is because he has a hack on to stop him getting killed. I saw a vid B4 where he tryed to kill himself for a about a min dropping those mini nukes on him and he coud not kill himself.
It's an RPG. And no you dont have to kill everything. You can have good karma and bad karma and stay neutral. With your ''speech skill'' you can talk yourself out of combat alot of times. Although you will have to fight since there are some people which are just purely evil and you will have to kill them or you will get killed yourself.

And this trailer was played in the first area you see when you get out of the vault with a high level character and weapons that are probably not available till later in the game. No man turning any game from FPS or any other more "active" game into RPG is bad, the other way around is good. Changing from RPG towards FPS, for me, makes things a little more interesting and a little more alive.

Well people have different preferences but I can tell you the RPG genre is far more popular then FPS, which I actually enjoy both but in this case I Think mixing them was a very bad idea by Bethesda.
They should have updated the graphics from the previous series similar to what Blizzard is doing with Diablo III and added more content, interaction and atmosphere to the world as well as multiple changes they could have made to improve the already awesome gameplay that has made Fallout a series.

The original fanbase is why the game is being made in the first place. That said, the new version looks bleeping awesoe, too. For almost no capital investment there could be thousands of hours of play out there... aw well.

If your brother botherd doing the side quests and dungeon crawls the game lasts over 100 hours.

Considering how large this game is supposed to be, we have seen fuck all really. Bethesda seem to take a leaf out of Rockstar's book. I hope this game is a hit, then maybe we won't have another 10 years for a proper sequel.

The reason that te combat is so easy is because he has ridiculously good weapons in a very low level area. The main reason it is easy though is because he has a hack on to stop him getting killed. I saw a vid B4 where he tryed to kill himself for a about a min dropping those mini nukes on him and he coud not kill himself.

It's an RPG. And no you dont have to kill everything. You can have good karma and bad karma and stay neutral. With your ''speech skill'' you can talk yourself out of combat alot of times. Although you will have to fight since there are some people which are just purely evil and you will have to kill them or you will get killed yourself.

What the hell is wrong with you people? This is not, i repeat NOT a FPS!! Its not supposed to be like GOW2. Its an RPG an thus has much more in it then just combat. And this trailer was played in the first area you see when you get out of the vault with a high level character and weapons that are probably not available till later in the game. Think that could be a reason for "too easy" combat?

Now I havnt played the game myself, but what i saw so far in the video that takes the whole fun out of shooters for me personally.

Yea you defenitly sound like you're about 13. To bad Final Fantasy is one of the most popular and long running series in gaming history with some of the biggest sales to top it.
Taking a game and making these sort of darastic changes has been known to kill a series. Just think of it in reverse, what if they took Halo and made it in to a turn based RPG? Hmmmm...
Based on fallout 1 and 2 which it sounds like you havent played, I personally do not like at all how they did this.

No man turning any game from FPS or any other more "active" game into RPG is bad, the other way around is good. Changing from RPG towards FPS, for me, makes things a little more interesting and a little more alive.

Well people have different preferences but I can tell you the RPG genre is far more popular then FPS, which I actually enjoy both but in this case I Think mixing them was a very bad idea by Bethesda.
They should have updated the graphics from the previous series similar to what Blizzard is doing with Diablo III and added more content, interaction and atmosphere to the world as well as multiple changes they could have made to improve the already awesome gameplay that has made Fallout a series.

Yea considering its one of the best selling most popular series ever that dates back to the 1980s. There was also dragon warrior and dungeon crawlers like wizardry but FF did help to popularize RPGs overall. Go ahead and try at some intelligence kid I will shut you down.

The original fanbase is why the game is being made in the first place. That said, the new version looks bleeping awesoe, too. What blows my mind is that the original game engine could have been used to cheaply come out with all kinds more game play (set it somewhere new every time... maybe even find a reason to hit britain, ireland, western euroe, whatever). For almost no capital investment there could be thousands of hours of play out there... aw well.
