do you know what temps your getting on your esc? because mine has the same gearing and esc and motors and i can only touch the esc for about half a second until i burn my finger. thanks for any reply.
@rcdevil2 This was a long time ago... I bought a brushless system for it because this was not really a lot of fun. (short runtimes, not enough power), and I sold the truck almost a year ago... The temp of the motors was perfect and the esc also wasn't too hot, but I was using a cooling fan on the esc. Do you use lipo batteries?
also, how do you keep your slippper from slipping up? from before i blew my other esc, i ran the truck like 4 times and all i heard was just the slipper clutch slipping. thanx for all your help :)
Dual 970's and that's it? The stock 550's are faster than this setup.

i have that esc and the motors but what wire did you use to connect the esc to the revceiver?

A normal run with my 4200 mah packs is about 10 min. and 6 min. when you're constantly driving like this.

These are 40T pinions and I've got a plastic and metal 64T spur gear.
I actually glued my pinions after loosing one in the forest.
