Phil Jones, one of the major scientists at the IPCC involved in Climategate, admitted about 2 weeks ago that there hasn't been any statstically significant warming since 1995. He also admitted that we've had statistically insignificant cooling since 2002. Basically though, we're the same temperature now as we were 15 years ago. He also dropped at least two other bombshells during that interview. Look up the medieval warming period for starters.

No it hasn't! SUn spots are cyclical and the current cycle doesn't match up with the trend. Warming has occurred for 130 years. Sun spots have been occurring since the beginning of time. Since the warming trend is averaged over a long period of time, it already takes sunspots into consideration. Sun spots aren't increasing at any significant rate. They've remained constant.

Actually, the cooling concept of the 70s caused the hole in the ozone. It was caused by aerosols, AC freon and other particulate matter in the atmosphere it not only cased the hole in the ozone layer (which allowed heat to escape) but the particulate matter reflected sunlight back out into space.

Government action limited it's effects. Thanks for bringing up a great example of how govt action can make a difference.
