Do you happen to know what the HDMI is able to output? Is is 1080p at 24p? Also, can you turn off all the menus on the live output and get a clean video out?
then if you have a fast enough computer could you have an av out of the tv into a computer and record the video that is coming from the live view? effectivly making the d300 a 1080i video camera? i could really do with that for a music video i want to make, anybody know what software is needed and if it is possible???
HDMI out is great! Not only can you use your big screen like a huge slide show projector..but for those who do studio work..it's great to check your pics on a big screen to check your work rather than on a laptop or the tiny screen on the back of the camera! Thanks for the VID and enjoy!
Hey dude, think of studio work and light boxes. when you have it all set and read to shoot. to be able to zoom in and focus perfect or set up your shot using live video on a screen it definitely makes a difference. How about you know what you're talking about before opening that gap of yours?
c'mon, he's just an idiot who got convinced that he absolutly needs this camera. I dont think he'll ever do some studio-work. studio-work is for pussies bytheway. and art-fart fags.
NIce demo. Appreciate it. I wasn't sure if the Hdmi functioned as a video out or just monitor out, on this particular camera. Looks like it does.

THE D300 is better than it sounds, near perfect with the battery grip. Well worth the money. Personally I prefer the 70-200. hope it helps.

thanks for showing this, was curious as to what liveview could do and the hdmi out looks nice.

I would love to test the HDMI feature myself on my LCD TV. The A/V out just doesn't cut it. Hopefully I can afford a D300 within the year.
