Removing Thrill Rides, Especially Ones That Are A Major Part of Great America History (Shockwave, Tidal Wave, Deja vu) Is Always A Bad Move.

shockwave, the track busted, no reason to keep it. and deja vu broke down more than it ran. point less to keep either of them. it was time for something new anyways.

It's easy to say what you would do or what I would do. What you say all seems like a good idea to you, but I personally dislike all of the rides you mention. I like the moderate rides which all seem to be going bye bye. Yet I know if the park were full of rides I like most people would think it were a lame park.

That said I will say what I most dislike is SFGA elminating shows. Like the Stunt Shows, the plays they would put on in the orleans theater and HTS. They were nice and in the cool AC.

Im a huge fan of Love at first fright. I wish they would run it all year long. I dont know what they showed this year in the HomeTownSquare theater but I remember last year it was some lame clip show of Country music. Nothing against any type of Music I'm just saying I'd rather see a live show instead of just T.V. clips

If I Was In Charge of Great America.

-Deja Vu Would Have Been Placed Where Power Dive & The Cajun Grill Were. Skywhirl Would Have Remained.

-Shockwave Or Whizzer Would Not Have Been Removed To Make Way For Superman.

-Superman Would Be Placed In The Front of The Park Where Space Shuttle America & The Go Karts Were.

- Water Park Would Be Much Smaller, & On The Opposite Side of The Main Park, (The Back Lot) Seperate Price On Entry

- 2 Parking Garages Would Be Added In The Main Lot.

Great idea. Sadly, Six Flags doesn't have money growing on trees for them so this is financially a terrible idea.

Uhhhhhh.... Shouldn't This Be In Yankee Harbor, & Shouldn't Deja Vu Have Been In Orleans Place (Seeing As It Had A French Name) & What's With All These Gay Rides!?!?! Dark Knight Sucks, Rajin Cajun Sucks, Superman Is Alright But Nowhere Near As Thrilling As ShockWave, WHAT IS GOING ON!?!?!?

exactly. all the newer rides suck. they kind of need a new water ride because the lines are really long for them in the summer. hopefully they will take down something like iron wolf or whizzer in 2010 or 2011 for a new big roller coaster

The last ownership took Six Flags into 2 billion dollars dept and only added thrill rides and drove the families out and the attendance went down dramatic. They are adding new kid rides to make up for the thrill rides they added. I agree that the new rides arent too good but what they are doing right now is smart. They are trying to get out of debt now so they arent building a big coaster in Six Flags for awhile.

well they've put in so many new family rides like, i guess you could count ragin cajun, all the wiggles world rides...uhh..thats all they've made in a while i can think of haha

but still kids dont usually stay that long each day, they ride a couple rides and go

iron wolf anf whizzer probly not going anywhere. they only tare down rides if it cost to much to fix them. deja broke down alot thats why they took it down, the repairs costed more than the ride.

well they were thinking about taking down whizzer for a long time. and iron wolf is one of the least popular BIGGER roller coasters in the park so im thinking if any of the roller coasters in the park get taken down, it should be iron wolf

Whizzer is very hard to maintain, you're wrong. Since it attracts many people, they choose to keep it operating.

sort of, but its not really meant for thrills. its just to get wet. there will be water cannons to shoot at other boats and people while they shoot at you

so will they move the go-karts to the old splashwater falls area or somewhere? i heard a rumor that it was going to be there

thats acctually still undecided yet. they are moving go carts but if they do it wont be for another year. probly during 2010. becasue then there extending the water park.
