  • what did u put inside the pumpkin?

  • Dixie is a psycho but I love her. My dogs always kill them selves in violent ways. Hangings, poisonings and car accidents but they all go to heaven right?

  • You have a dog named "morrow wind". THAT IS BADASS

  • Thats the first obsessive compulsive BC i have ever seen !

    NOT! : )

  • Thats what Pitbulls do to other dogs!! I love Border Collies.....brains and beauty!

  • What happens if you stuff its treat in someones being kellyservices button?

  • lol this is so weird. it gives james and the giant peach a new perspective...

  • why does this have so many dislikes?

  • ^^ das ist echt lustig wie der den kürbis zerfetzt

  • Border Collies are amazing dogs. I can't wait to buy one.

  • Our vet actually told us pumpkin was good to mix into dry food rather than that gravy stuff you can buy. Our dog liked it.

  • hÌhi_ÂNYÖÑÊ_wâNNÁ_chÃt_wìth_mÉ_Ï_feÊl_sò_lÓÑÈly_tôÐaý▼

  • What did you put in the pumpkin?

  • He he my dog would simply cry untill i would give him the candy, and he cries loud.

  • Try Asian women **busizz4me.info**

  • aawwww that was adorabble !

  • better keep this dog away from your sofa.

  • No offense but my Border Collie Socky, is smarter but you have a really smart dog! i am ten and i trained her myself

  • @sharond221

you jump to a conclusion after but a single video? he spends a lot of time with him (suppose?) i'm sure, you don't know what else he can.

  • @mountom he said he was 10....

  • Hahahahahahah! thats sooo cute!

at first when it got faster and more high pitched i was like Oh my God!!! what the hell just happened to that dog????i thought he like had surgery or something! hahahahah!!!!

  • Border Collies and Afghans in the same room together? They are polar opposites as far as intelligence.

  • @fawnknudsen

I thought that was a Scottish deerhound.

  • HA, I love how she totally forgot about the treats, cause kicking the shit out of a pumpkin was way more fun! Thankfully my Border Collies a little calmer than that lunatic! Good stuff.

  • i got one tODAY!!! :D thumbs up btw

  • Dixie is amazing!

Check out my Border Collie, Tipper : )

  • That's one way to make a Jack-O-Lantern lol

  • LOL, she tore the hell out of that Pumpkin. I have a 5 month BC Female, she is awesome. So smart, and I'm pretty sure my shoulder will be disclocated soon from the amount of fetch and playing we get to do, but its worth it, she is so fun. Border Collies cannot be tuckered out by playing for like 30 mins, you need to get a few hrs in every day for them to be happy and sleep good. Mine is passed out beside me as I type lol, good day today outside.

  • LOL!!! Your dog is very Loyal! I wish i have a more loyal dog :)

  • Pumpkin carnage!

  • Our Border Collie ate our neighbors pond dam while chasing moles.

  • now thats determination

  • Obviously a Billy Corgan fan.

  • That's one determined dog

  • I miss my border collie. They're so energetic and can really drive you crazy sometimes, but they're so incredibly sweet.

  • The thing about the threshold of a house in general is the dog is 'defending' it. Or so they usually think.

By the bell ringing (and no one coming in right away) and the postman walking away right after delivering the mail, these people are 'retreating' from the dog and his barking, so the dog has done what it saw as it's job.

I think with an hour or two any decent dog trainer would have been able to help you get rid of that behaviour. Hell, I think even I could have done it.

  • my bc is nuts also , gotta love em

  • what a savage beast!

i like how it ravaged the whole pumpkin when it could have easy got the treat right off the bat.

  • porcoddio

  • That's insane! I definitely want to try that with my border next fall.

  • my border collie is so funny hes called ollie

  • If I ever get rich (aka: win a lottery.) lol I will make a boarder collie rescue. Can't wait! All to the animals, especially boarder collies. no puppy mills here.

  • They sound like Hyenas.

  • until I saw this I thought your steam powered generator was the best video on YouTube.

  • Dixie is the smartest dog in the world I agree w/that. I'm going to get a Border Collie and name it Blair.

  • Don't get a border collie unless you have a very big yard for it to run around in. They aren't the sorts of dogs to be kept in the house all the time or especially not on a leash, it'd go insane.

  • My border collie did something similar to a set of cushions.

  • Didn't the AKC name border collies the smartest breed a month ago?

  • dumb

  • Well it worked didn't it?

  • sweet

  • That is a STRONG dog.

  • Omg it sounded like she was annoyed with the caretaker. O.O like she was barking at him saying "where is it?!" but funny vid. dixie is a smartie!

  • bahaha i love how she could have stopped and got the treat a longggg time ago but she just really hates that pumpkin for stealing her treat so she continues to dismember it.

  • joa auch ne Art seinen Hund zu bschäftigen *gg* ich hab nen ball wo immer Leckerlies rausfallen das beschäftigt auch ne Zeit ;)

  • when u sped it up it sounded like she was talking

  • I love my dog. Shes a pure bred border collie runt.

    Shes 4 now :P

  • é o mais inteligente de todos

  • border collies are the einsteins of dogs

  • ya i just got a three month old border collie puppy about a week ago and he's the smartest dog ever. check out his pic on my channel

  • wow. that dogg must really like that itty bitty tiney eeny little treat to tear up a 70 pound pumpkin for it!

  • Dogs eat lots of vegetables and fruits. They're actually very good for their diet. Our BC regularly gets carrots or apples as treats. Beats the commercial crap out ther full of chemicals and artificial colorings.

  • Unles you grow your own vegetables chances are most of them out there are pounded with chemical fertalizer as well.

  • I had an Australian cattle dog who loved corn, grapes and strawberries... And raspberries- the number of times he'd come in the house with his face all scratched up from thorns of the raspberry bush!

  • @jgbahr Just don't feed them onions or grapes, they're toxic to dogs!

  • Haha! Cute!

I didn't know dogs were omnivores.

  • how old is Dixie?

  • this tickles my fancy

  • "Watching dogs is usually better than watching television."

I agree!! Am missing being around dogs after seeing this video!

  • the dog did not eat the pumpkin but ripped off the pumpkinto get to the treat. typical of the breed. God I love them so!!

  • I hope you are kidding. Dogs don't eat vegetables. That dog was so smart that it obeyed the command of the owner, that is to get the treat

  • dogs are omnivores

  • Dog's dont eat vegetables? I hope you are the one kidding there lol...

But yes, in this case it was just fixated on the treat.

  • pumpkins are fruit but ok.

  • idiot! dogs are omnivores!

  • Dont call him an idiot, dogs are not omnivoures, they are carnivores. Just because they CAN eat fruit and veggies does not mean it is th ebest food for them. Real meat is clearly the BEST food for a dog.

  • I think u are a retard!!!

  • yeah, that stupid dog followed a command...

  • i have a border collie but she's not smart enough to do that!!

  • thats funny, but hope u dont ever eat any thing in front of your dog that it wants, lol

  • A wonderful way to stimulate the dogs! Making them find their treats/toys is an excellent way to make them use their heads, or to at least get a little bit of energy out. Border collies in particular are one of those breeds that NEED stimulation, they're not like shih tzus or chihuahuas who are happy sitting around all day. They're working dogs, and need something to do. My dog Ginger rounds up chickens all day, and keeps all the animals here in line, even the horses.

  • My dog would just eat the pumpkin not just rip it to shreds. She'll eat anything

  • that treat probably tasted like pumpkin

  • thats was so funny when it was speed up XD

  • Great mental stimulation 4 the collie very clever way to make her work for the treat :D Super! i might try that 1 my my self x

  • I love that dog he is so awsome

  • I love the fact that you have Pink Floyd's "Dogs" playing in the background!

  • omg. so cute (: i wish i had a dog.

  • me too

  • haha i've got a 3 and a half year old border collie husky cross he is so friendly to the family and friends but i think there is even more excitment with that breed!

  • lmao i didnt noticed it when u sped up the video, so i was like "wtf kind of sound is that dog making??" (the sped up audio)

  • you make dog stupid a lil bit

  • I enjoyed this video. I have a 4 year old Border Collie named Sable. She is awesome! But I don't think I'll let her do this anytime soon.

  • Let me guess....after eating that pumpkin, she had the raging shits for days? I oughta know, my border collie mix made off with one piece of pumpkin and it was NOT a pretty sight.

  • Everybody who speaks like a complete retard should get banned from Youtube..

Btw do not let her destroy it, hide it, its not good for the Border Collie.

  • remind me to never keep dog treats in my pocket around this dog! lol

  • great vid

    im bored on cam pF

  • i have a 7 month old border collie bitch, and she keeps biting me, each time she bites me i scream no! but it doesant seem 2 work does anyone have any clue as to what i should do??

  • Get another one : ) .

  • Don't give her atention at all when she bites you, don't even say no. Pet her and give her treats when she's not biting, specifacly when you see her chose not to bite you. My dog had this problem and my vet told me to do this, tel me if it works.

  • that is not good for the border collie! i dont know if u realize this but border collies are obsesive. they will continue at a task untill it kills them. some collies will work untill they overheat and die! DO NOT MAKE HER DO THAT AGAIN! ITS NOT GOOD FOR HER MOUTH OR TEETH! SHE WILL RUIN HER MOUTH!

  • well, sheep herding is out of her future. Border Collies are soft-mouthed dogs. That was cute, but not a good thing to promote in that breed.

  • THAT IS HURTING HER GUMS AND TEETH! THEY ARE BLEEDING! ANY JACKASS KNOWS NOT TO DO THAT TO A DOG! border collies will complete any task because they are wonderful dogs, DO NOT ABUSE THEM!

  • lol thats funny

  • Bizarre.

  • rofl that was hilariuos

the noises she made were cute and scary lol

    go dixie!

  • what a nice border collie how old is she?

  • Oh my gosh, that pumpkin was PULVERISED!

    lol!

I'm considering adopting a one-eyed Border Collie mix, and so far I'm becoming further convinced to get her.

  • Ha ha, are you playing Pink Floyd's "Dogs" in the background?

  • lol

  • The Collie is like... yup, I can eat 30 chicken wings in 1 minute flat too!

  • i wood do dat but instead of a dog treat, id do it for a klondike bar

  • this is so cute :P

  • Yep, that about sums up the breed in 3 minutes. Hyper, determined, intelligent. However, I have never seen a border collie quite like this one, and I mean that in a good way!

  • That could be useful if you want to cook up some baked pumpkin without all the usual chopping - and don't mind a few teeth marks.

  • and the dog is going to eat.....a pumpkin....haha

  • that dog rcks lol, I had a border collie as a child and he was awesome. This reminds me of something he would do

  • nice vid,im planing to buy either a border coller or a siberian husky,i cant decide!.

  • border collies are more loyal, intelligent and cute. so get one!!!

  • Bordor collies are also very active dogs. Not suitable for people in inactive lifestyles. So not everyone should get one. They need a LOT of attention or they get bored and when they get bored, they get into trouble.

  • thanks for the floyd at the end! animals seems so fitting for video.

  • brilliant.

  • Clever dog.

  • Dude.. you need to shell out for some toys! LOL

  • How did you ever come up with that trick (lol). I think your more amazing that the dog, for thinking that one out.

  • Don't be a dick. He wasn't talking about this particular time. I have a border collie and it is one of the smartest dogs i've ever seen. Quit jerkin it to youtube videos and being a prick.

  • ohhhh, that reminds me of my old dog. He destroyed our jack-o-lanterns like that after Halloween every year. cute

  • great

  • q tonteria

  • LOL its so cute but it didn't swollow the pumpkin LOL!!!

  • love it...i just adopted a bc from shelter last week..had one when i was young but we were on a farm..just starting to realize what all i need to buy to keep him stimulated and from getting bored...hubby has no clue as to what i have adopted and one day i will tell him that until jack is very old that he will not relax for long periods of time..i got this one because they said he was abused but got him home and found out he was scared at shelter..he is about 6 mos old and already a handful

  • Get used to it! I had a border collie/sheltie for 14 years and he was a very smart and energetic little nut his whole life. I sure miss him.

  • Lol that is so funny. She kills the pumpkin!

  • I love how you praise her at the end for finding the treat and destroying the pumpkin properly. :)

  • Oh....my....god.....

I know nothing about BC's. But one found me today. She was absolutely starving so I took her in and fed her. She IMMEDIATELY bonded with my dog. I've been researching and it looks like I don't really know what I'm getting myself into. Ha ha ha.

I'm going to have my hands FULL for a good while as I'm attempting to train her!

Your dogs are VERY well trained, GREAT job!!!!

  • hahahahaha that was SUPER CUTE!!! favorite.

  • smartest dogs in the world the border collie

  • This is what they do when they don't get any work for 10 minutes, they get mad and thrash the house!!!!

  • HOL! my border collie did that on hallowen to are Pumpkin

  • 2 things:

    - I didnt realize they had such powerful jaws

    - Rofl that she went so far with it, I think she took too much off

  • bcs ALWAYS have to have something to do - its bred in them. they are a nightmare when they are bored.

  • Lol, how long did it take you to clean up the shreaded pumkin mess?

    XD awesome vid

  • Border Collies are a very active breed. Its not cruel. They need something to do with all that pent up energy.

  • I assume I am not the first to say "Dixie" should be renamed "Peter-Peter". I love OCD dogs when they belong to someone else! What Fun!

  • She's a farm dog by breed, so it's no wonder she's always looking for something to do. No shortage of things that need to be done on a farm.

  • That was friggin' awesome! My dogs go nuts over treats too, but Dixie has got them beat. :)

  • Cruel my ring, thats what my sister says when i encourage our collie to attack the floor. He loves it so hows it cruel, theres plenty of floor to go round as well

  • Ahh!!

Coco looks like my dog :)

  • makes me miss my doggie =:(

  • border collies are my fav! so cute and smart

  • i think its cruel sorry your dogs are great but thats cruel to make the dogs go crazy like that

  • It's called tracking. Place something somewhere, let the dog find it. That's what search and rescue dogs are for as well as drug dogs. It'd be the same if the dog didn't get any exercise and ruin the guy's couch out of frustration. Obviously you know shit about Border Collies as they are WORKING dogs and have a strong work ethic as well as they are extremely intelligent and you have to simulate their minds somehow.

  • aww, so cute, you have a lot of dogs!

    Not a bad thing though

  • you coco

  • Can you imagine what she would do if she lost her treat inside the sofa?!! That would be a nightmare....lmao!

  • lol cute... she'll do anything for the treat, eh?

  • LOL! That was great :D

  • lol watch my video response

its my bordercollie bella trying to eat the sakata crackers

  • wow lol all that 4 a treat ur dogs r adorable

  • i have a border collie, golden lab cross. great family dog

  • imagine what it could do it your face!

  • Talk about determined

  • great video

  • Lol imagine her on Halloween!:p

  • You have good looking dogs

  • awesome

  • man she does NOT like that treat-stealing pumpkin.

  • These are great dogs. They're so smart.

  • BORDER COLLIES RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very cute ur dog must love those treats very much. take care of them all :) dogs are man best friend (i have a dalmatian)

  • i love dogs so much. but what kind of owner lets a dog get away with tearing up things for a treat? and then rewards the?!?!?! now the dog will think she can get away with anything for treats, and then get rewarded for ruining them, some lesson that person is teaching her!!!!

  • you don't understand how smart border collies are. its like they have common sense.

  • i know that stupid! who doesn't know they are the smartest breed of dog out there? it's just this guy is teaching the dogs the wrong lesson!

  • You see a common mistake which i used to make up untill recently is that its not the case of physically exercising a border collie, its a case of mentally exercising them. But not only that. Its not the duration of the exercise, its the quality of the stimulation that counts.
