If you're running with 900+cc crotchrockets in you're car, the car's fast. Even 600s can dip down into the 10s with the right rider. Bikes are harder to launch and Foxbodies have a huge aftermarket to make them hook. With sticky tires, it could be a cose race between these 2

The reason is that bikes have smaller engines and their gear ratios are set lower for higher acceleration. It's their initial point, acceleration. How many people have the balls to do 190mph in a bike? Not many.
But a car with the extra weight to carry needs to be efficient too. Besides it'd happen much more often to flat out a car then a bike. So the gear ratios are set higher for efficiency and top speed.
And on top of that, weight has a lot to do with acceleration and little to do with top speed. So there ya have it.
As for superbikes, you can compare them with supercars. Superbikes 99.9% of the time should accelerate better, and supercars should 99.9% of the time have a better top speed.
kinda of off 100% superbikes (Stock) should accelerate faster then a stock super car. for example a 1000cc bike can go a 9.7s in the 1/4mile the fastest super car stock does 9.90 according to there website the scc ultimate . and 10% of cars should have a higher topspeed then a superbikes since most can do 190-220mph without there restrictions. and this isnt including the y2k jetbike and dodge tomhawk.

ive raced all kinds of bikes with my old supercharged 306 setup and one thing ive learned is that now with my huge ass turbo .....most of them CANNOT hang on the top end........BUT you will need to be on race gas and on a "KILL" tune to leave them behind..big cubic inches with NOS wont cut it.......all the bike needs is pumpgas and a good rider........thats why ive owned both! ....go figure........but the look on their faces when you smash them with a car is priceless!!!!!

what is a jet kit on a fuel injected bike maybe cuz an 03 is not carb to need a jet kit.and if ur brothers car has 700rwhp there is no way ur lil 600 will even keep up ur 600 is only an 11sec bike maybe if ur not fat and ur a good rider u can hit a mid 2 high 10 and that car with 700hp is an easy low 10.and for ur bike doin 180+ is bull first off most all bikes are goverened at 186 and a 600 will not go that fast first off and u goind one tooth down takes atleast 12mph off ur top speed

Hold on! he very well may be indicating 180 on an R6 But he damned sure aint going that fast. I live in germany and use a GPS to see how fast I am going. I routinely run right around 180 or so wide open. Speedo is saying a little faster but that gps is pretty damned accurate.

they dont have SMOG or inspections in most areas so the engines hare 100% differant!

but my 954 is ~400 lbs wet and has 140 ponys to the wheel
