Hi, how's the audio quality on the SD780? Would i be able to record a live band with out getting too much over peak or anything like that? Also how's the video quality on it? All i get from reviews is how great the HD is. Thanks.

So, I have an SD780 IS too, and I'm having a problem uploading it in all its HD glory. I think it's because of iMovie. What video editing software did you use? Please reply back. Thanks.

Question, i saw a charger there that looks like the same one i have from a SD630, will i be able to use batteries from my now broken Powershot SD630 on the SD 780?

And dose it take HC memory cards, since the SD630 cant.

Can this camera also record video in standard format? 'm afraid my four year old macintosh won't be able to handle viewing from an High Definition format. When tried to view the video in High Def on youtube, the video froze up everytime and only the audio worked. I was about to order the camera when this issue came to my attention.

if you get chdk, you can do both optical and digital zoom while taking a video but with the stock OS, you can only do digital zooming while filming

someone on the forums is porting it though it is in "pre-alpha" at the moment so it kinda sucks but i have tried it and it does let you use optical zoom
