  • hey man, thanks for the tip. i just completed my first solo today. i landed on my feet very sogtly then ligthtly fell backward. ive never had so much fun in my life. cant wait for next week

  • hey, i just started skydiving with IAF program, im on my 3rd level tandem jump and will soon be doing my first solo, im a bit nervous and unsure of when to flare/pull on the breaks when landing, any tips?

  • @milesmanson1 Your instructors will teach you that. If not, just ask them. I was taught to start my flare at about 10 feet off the ground and then going to full flare when you are about 2-3 feet off the ground. If you start too early, just be sure to hold your flare.

  • nice job! Did you stand up the landing? I couldn't see from the camera zoom (or lack of...)

    ;)

  • Thanks. I didn't land standing up. For the AFF Level 1, they teach you to do a Parachute Landing Fall (PLF), in which you roll when you land. You can't see the roll in the video.
