@p4460 it can be used for many things in the alternative energy or fuel production. biomass, biofuel, pellets, wooden chips for garening etc.. the cutting power of this machine is amazing. the knifes must be extrem hardened

Very impressive growth. I'm interested in either hybrid aspen or willow. But i read willow is more susceptible to dieseases. What's your experience ? Also do you have problem with animals (deer etc..) when the willows are young ? How much dry mass per hectare ?

do you fellas know nothin der is one harvester that cuts willows in northern ireland and i know for a fact its a class!!! she costs £1000 a day to hire and has some other make of header on it its red and costs 20,000 ta buy!!! any harvester can cut willows!!!!

The willow is been cut to burn in a green power station,thats what it is grown for.

It is Metcalfs from Leyburn and at the moment no other machine can cut it like this one.

@deniserob How "green" is it , when one has to use so much diesel in order to harvest it? Why not burn the diesel fuel instead?
