Thare are WAY too many reasons this card is banned to list them all in comments.

Abusing the fact that it sends cards to the Grave is the only reason. Exodia decks, Lightsworn decks, Infernity decks, Zombie decks...in fact, it can be run in ANY deck using Monster Reborn and/or call of the Haunted.

Crystal Beasts are also dangerous with this card, as you can easily send 4 CB's to the grave (while getting one of them to Summon to the field at the same time). Almost instant Rainbow Dragon~

Cause you just picked out your strat and chucked it in your grave...need traps? mask of darkness back. Need monsters? Pump your strongest in and monster reborn/call of the haunted. too much utility.

At the time there wasnt much of a plus to putting things in your graveyard, but now a days the entire game relies on the graveyard. Its just to good. It used to be the primo card for Necross Decks, as it basically allowed the player to toss 4/5ths of Exodia to the grave, then activate LV or something and toss the final piece to wipe the field, then play Contract and bring out Necross. Since Necross can't be destroyed by Spells, Traps, Monster Effects, or Battle Damage, it's neigh invincible save removing from play or getting a piece of Exodia out of the grave (doesn't matter how). Early on, it would be a game winner.

Lightsworns, Plaguespreader, Necro Gardna, Glow-up bulb, Exodia (rare, but not impossible), zombies, Vayu, and many others. In a Chaosworn or Vayusworn deck, that uses plaguespreader could speed up the game. Vayusworn are just as fast as the original Lightsworn decks, which is plain scary. I was sad to see painful choice go though, I loved that card.

This card really does help a lot of decks. Getting a card to the hand is a good thing, and sending cards to the graveyard is also good, especially when you can choose them. For example, one of Lightsworns' win conditions is getting JD to the field and blowing everything up. If a Lightsworn player has this card in the hand along with a JD, he already has an insta-JD. Making a top-tier deck even more powerful really isn't a good idea.

Quick Example: If you have Magician of Fate face down on the field and Book of Moon set, if you use that card and select 5 spell cards, no matter what your going to get 1 spell in your hand from the effect and you could use Magician of Fate effect twice (Maybe, not her effect twice in that turn). Let me flip it around, another example: In my deck I have 3 Archfiend Soldier and 3 Gene-Warped Warwolf, let's say I used the effect of the card and chose my 3 Warwolf and 2 Archfiend Soldiers, we both know 1 is going to my hand and all the monsters going to the graveyard are normal monsters, this will give me the perfect opportunity to use both my Dark Factory of Mass Production. That being said, I will gain five 4 star monsters with high attacks
