So WWF Smackdown=Toukon Retsuden 3. makes sense considering it has the same graphics. I wonder why their wasn't any sequels to Power Move Pro Wrestling(toukon retsuden) just like they're were sequels to toukon retsuden?

In fact the early PS1 Smackdown games used a modified (crippled) version of the Toukon Retsuden Engine. Even some moves were the same in TR3 and Smackdown.

Yuke's frequently recycles the animations, but just because the games share moves doesn't mean that they're using the same engine. WM 21 and the newer SvRs certainly don't use the same engine, but they have some shared moves because Yuke's is using some of WM 21's animations.

It's similar, but the engine pre-dates the Aki engine by about a year. Amazingly, the SD game engine still hasn't equaled any of them.
