After reading the reactions and comments from the partakers, I am a bit disappointed that James Marsh wouldn't consider the different views from other main team members than Petit. It seems that some controversial events, like claims that Alan abandoned them (he does look shady to me).
Also, we are constantly fed with Petit's enormous ego and all the people (esp Jean-Louis) that put enormous effort in accomplishing and planing this project were somehow put in 2nd plan to Petit. Quite unfair!
copy and paste this to 1 other vid, then fart, u will be suprised what comes out instead of gas :).. dont do this if you dont want to, it dosent work :)
Must be american to ask "why" for that kind of action. For european and mainly French action without reason is the best. Just read "Cyrano de Bergerac" at the end, just before dying, when he says "It is more beautiful when it is useless".
It's not a matter of "WHY" he wanted to do it. Just the fact that it was there waiting to be done. Incredible story of someone who knew exactly what he wanted to do and planned perfectly for his moment. I am American, America is the "so called" land of opportunity and this gentleman took his. Good for him, now more strangley haunting that the 2 buildings he conquered no longer exist,
Best doc I've seen in months. I liked the music that played during this event as well as being surprised by the officers at 0:13 . The musical Fish Beach by Michael Nyman was a great peace that helped converged the art of city jazz and this film together to help create that New York State of mind.
A little sad that the NYPD roughed him and despite crossing the towers on a tight rope, his time in police custudy the most dangerous part of the stunt.
The trailer is OK but having seen the full film it is a truly brilliant film and remarkable people in it. The French can be strange but brilliant at times as can the Americans and Australians who helped Petit. Michael Stephen Nolan Dublin - Eire
"The most dangerous part of this whole adventure - I almost break my head on the narrow staircase..." Original!!!
