My New Betta Fishies

How do you get them together ? I've been trying for so long but they just won't get together ! Can you also teach me how to decorate the tank , but mine is smaller . I like the way you decorate your tank . Please teach me how to decorate ...........

I also have a beta in with other fish and he is so cute. I have two gourami, three neon tetra, four cory, one hatchet fish, a molly and a halequin in a ten gallon tank. Everyone said the beta would kill everything but they are wrong. Betas are really beautiful fish and shouldn't be kept in small little bowls all by themselves. Its torture.

i have a question. is it better to have betta fish in a smaller tank or a bigger one? I only have 1 betta

You have a very nice tank. How do you manage to restrict the flow of CO2 so that your bettas won't die since addition of CO2 will decrease the pH?

I don't use co2...it's all natural low tech low light setup

I have been told you have to add females in tank same time. Did you do that? In what order did you add betta. The order they are placed affects the pecking order, I have been told. I ask for I want to get a few females for my male betta

Hi, The male chose one of the females and is building bubbles. I put the other halfmoon female in the other 29 gallon and am getting another male, a halfmoon. I think the amount of space and plants allows them to be able to exist in the same tank together though.

Lovely. Have told having 2 female and 1 male betta works. Have you had any fights between them?

Meant have been told can't have 2 females bettas with 1 male in same tank.

I think you probably could. I have watched them for over a week, and the male is much slower and can't really cause harm. But you'd have to try it and see how it goes.

I always thought you couldn't put two Betta's in the same tank together. I was always confused about that. Your tank is very nice.

Thanks tinkerlove...yah...not 2 males for sure....the 2 females are faster than the only male...I wouldn't put them together in a small space though. They seem to be getting along pretty well together in there. Lots of room to escape just in case. I watched them a long time to make sure they'd be safe in the same tank together though. So far so good :o)but if there's a prob...I'll move the trouble maker.

Hi Lazymorn...Yes, albino cory catfish they are :o)yah the gravel are mixed natural and blue colors. I made a couple vids but deleted them without uploading. changed my mind...have nothing important to say lately. Going back into my cave somewhat I guess :o) take care young man :o) peace ps got those teeth pulled...no pain at all!

great fish and a lovely looking home they have too. donna, my partner, has got a base for the tank and now i'm just waiting for the go ahead from her to get this tank up and running.this is how slow things seem to go round here.

have you got camera shy?i hope your doing o.k. and enjoying day to day life. is that coloured gravel you have?, it looks o.k. in that tank, it's the bright colored stuff i'm unsure about. yep lovely big fins/tails they have, makes them look so beautiful as they dance around.
