I love Nintendo and all, but I hated how so many of the game commercials that came out during the Wii Era seemed to focus more on the Wii instead of the game.... Like compare this commercial to Metroid Prime 1's commercial..... Metroid Prime 1 really pulled me in to wanting to play the game... This one just tells me to buy a Wii.

This commercial is very unsporting for Metroid. You can't just jump into a Metroid game and start playing. To actually like or love it you have to find a comfy chair, a ton of snacks and a nice dark room to sit in while you play for 3 days straight and learn how not-to-blink.... Of course the next obstacle is coming up with a story explaining why you weren't at school and/or work for three days...

hmm, seeing this after seeing the commercials for the first 2 primes, even Other M and Fusion, it's just not quite as good. Those other commercials made a story about Samus' adventure, they were about HER, this one is more about the game, and how cool it would be to play on the wii. They didn't sell the story or the metroid world like the other commercials did.

The commercial doesn't make the game look kiddy or lame. Problem is they thought they could just take any ol' game, say "We would liek to play...", show people pretending to have fun, and ultimately try and sell it to more casual folk. It doesn't work like that - especially when the footage itself isn't gonna make just any person say "Ooh, lemme try that!". Prime 1's commercial did things right, and it looks like Other M's following Prime 1's lead, thankfully.

Metroid Prime 2 has one huge problem that 3 fixed.You have to play constantly or back track to the last power up to continue from a guide.First time I played Corruption I could tell it was a game i want to Buy/rent for myself and i can continue where I left off a month l8r.I only played to the bombs in 1,but with what i did in Echoes is enough to make me say 3 is the best.

thankfully, motionplus fixes this, but so far, there are no games that use it, apart from red steel 2 and a few sports games. i really hope they don't ignore it and toss it aside like they did with wii speak, cuz motionplus is a necessity for anyone who wants real precise motion control apart from pointing at a plastic bar.

Agree completely. Nintendo totally bastardized this game from the other 2 in the Prime series by trying to cash in on people's curiousity with then-new motion controls at the time instead of treating the marketing and approach to this game as a highly wanted sequel in a flagship series. Not to mention what most people consider their most MATURE and series game series as Mario and Donkey Kong and Star Fox would benefit more from tone and advertising like this. Just does not fit.
