I read that it got some bad reviews and the show was closed in the summer of 2007. After watching this, I wonder what's so bad about it? I have the soundtrack and I love the new songs! I wish I could watch the entire thing

I agree; some songs had a little akward wording for the lyrics, but it was still really good and the actors who were in this show get MAJOR props for all of their aerial stunts (I think I'd kill myself just trying to swing from Stage Right to Stage Left, never mind the spins, flips, twists, and other moves, lol!). But they made Kerchak's death very anticlimatic, and had a few other differences from the plot of the movie (like cutting Tantor, which was kind of necessary for the new story).

The Hamburg Production is much bigger and better- according to the bungee things and Cast! In Germany apes, butterflies and Tarzan are flying over the audience´s head, all over in the audience hall- the air, the circle and the stall are used for actings... I´ve seen it many times...

So, people from te US: Come to Germany- you must see this wonder!

I wished I could have seen this when it was on Broadway in the US I'm glad their in talks of putting it on tour or on the west coast! And I might be going to see the Dutch version this summer so it should be interesting considering I know very little Dutch haha! Thanks sooo much for posting this!!

I was shocked as well, that it left. I thought it'd be a great success, & now the Little Mermaid, etc, is coming out. Personally, I would prefer to see Tarzan than that, but I shouldn't judge since it hasn't even come out. I just like Tarzan. =)

On one last note, I'll just say this. Disney, please, give Tarzan a chance. If necessary, look at the Dutch version for guidance. This works out all the problems that were in the Broadway show, and is also sold out for the next two months. So, obviously this is the way to go, so, please, do it, for your fans' sakes.

If there is ever any hope of Tarzan coming back, we need to do something. Start online petitions, send letters and e-mails to Disney so they know that we want this show back, and we want it back now. Once we make ourselves heard, then there is hope that maybe they will listen.

Just like everyone else, I too am shocked that Tarzan is gone. But there is always hope of a possible return. My mom's boss has a friend who works at Disney, so he finds out everything ahead of time. If he ever tells us about Tarzan possibly returning to Broadway, I'll post it as soon as I do.

This was a great musical. The scenery was breath taking- the shipwreck/beach scene especially. But, I just learned that Tarzan is closing. WTF? I was seeing it again in August and it's closing this month!

I saw this show in April and it was AMAZING!!!! We went and we got to take a picture with Josh Strickland while he was still in his costume. He was soo nice, but you know Alex (Little Tarzan) Rutherford is still my hottie with a body husband.

when i went to new york for dance nationals we saw tarzan. and its amazing. i loved it. and so did hte rest of my team. it seriously was amazing. and afterwards we got to mean josh strickland who plays tarzan and he is gorgeous. so if you are in new york i strongly suggest you go see it.
