@DefenderRocks With a couple of hours work to change the Springs, Dampers, Wheels, and remove the roll bars, most of these would be awesome off road beasts too, as they have trick diffs etc!
@td5alive - Yeah, it wasn't and it *is* a poor excuse! lol Blame Dumbo Buxton and his crap laptop! That, and other Zulus, can easily crack 14 sec for the standing 1/4 topping out at 122mph. On that day it was a complete dog spluttering on the limiter at 5000. That's motor sport! Me? I'm just the driver :-) Things seem to have gone a bit quiet at LRM re the re-match?
@chargedlover - After speaking to JE, it transpires the Zulu was't running right on the day. Some might say that's a poor excuse, but there's going to be another one of these events later this year, so JE will have chance to show it's true colours then. Personally, I cannot wait to kick some V8 ass! We're not through with the Td5 yet! lol
Most of us own performance cars too, but don't you think there is something just a little bit cheeky, having a Defender that can do this? Some of these diesels are producing well over 200bhp (122bhp in standard trim). People just don't expect them to go like they do. The traffic light grand prix has never been such fun!
yes and no - obviously the stupid looking trucks with the overly large wheels will be restricted like wise the trucks with the lowered suspestion will be hampered compared to a standard 90.
would have been interesting to see the difference in off road performance as well
The emissions test was going to be a tie breaker, should there be a draw, and their very nearly was! My car was trailered there, and back, and had a tune on which I would obviously not use on the road. I have two switchable maps anyway, so that base was well covered! lol
While on the subject of emissions, Kevs 90 on the Santa Pod video was smoking badly! Ian drove that there did he not? Just an observation. ;-)
This is so weirdly amazing - I'm seeing a Landrover but I'm hearing something that sounds exactly like my old 5 pot ST Focus.

I don't get this, if you want something fast surely start with a vehicle that doesnt have a ladder frame.
