I admit Kobe does hog the ball a lot but in this case not so much. Brian Cook was way too far to pass it to, it wouldn't have made it in time for him to get a good shot. Lamar Odom is too inconsistent to make a 3 with only seconds left in the game. Kobe shooting contested or not was the best way to go. And he actually did have 11 assists that game.
