Yeah, I live in Florida. And if a storm comes up the Western coastline of florida, or manages to sweep over the oil spill area, then it's going to become an all out catastrophe on an even grander scale. I shudder to think how bad things will get if and when a storm comes along through the gulf, and brings oil in-land to the neighboring states. Needless to say, were in deep, deep trouble.
@10191927 Yeah, its sad when and area hundreds of miles away has more damage due to the hurricane than the place where it made landfall. It is going to be terrible when a hurricane hits the western coastline of Florida or around that vicinity. Hopefully it won't be as bad as anticipated.
@CTWeatherChases It's really hard to say. My theory, as I was discussing this very topic. Is basically contamination, on top of contamination. If we get a strong enough storm, basiclaly a 4 of a 5, maybe a 3. That the oil would not only get pushed further into marshlands and beaches, but also get deposited into neighborhoods and cities either by toxic rain where it rains oil, or flooding. I don;t see any good coming out of this, a storm is going to make things worse.
@10191927 Yeah all true. Same I don't think anything good can come from it except that it will get more of the oil out of the ocean, but thats it, otherwise all bad.
